Greetings to all Hive friends and members of the Music community. I want to take the opportunity to share with you this post since it is March 3rd and a day like today was released for the first time the third album of the band Metallica, Master of Puppets. So I think a review of this masterpiece is in order.
Master of Puppets is the third album of this legendary band that was released in 1986 with a very aggressive sound characteristic of the thrash metal genre and it was this album that influenced many other bands of the genre as it was one of the pioneers. It was the last album where the former bassist Cliff Burton was present before his unfortunate accident that led to his death, however it left sequels for what would be their 4th album called And Justice For All.

Quiero aprovechar la oportunidad para compartir con ustedes este post ya que es 3 de marzo y un día como hoy fue lanzado por primera vez el tercer disco de la banda Metallica, Master of Puppets. Así que creo que sería conveniente una reseña sobre ésta obra maestra.
Master of Puppets es el tercer álbum de esta legendaria banda que fue lanzado en el año 1986 con un sonido muy agresivo característico del género thrash metal y fue este disco el que influenció a muchas otras bandas del género ya que fue uno de los pioneros. Fué el último álbum dónde estuvo presente el ex bajista Cliff Burton antes de su lamentable accidente que lo llevo a la muerte, sin embargo dejo secuelas para lo que sería su 4 album llamado And Justice For All.
The band's first gold record was awarded to this album when it reached half a million sales in the United States alone, recorded in Denmark and lasting almost 55 minutes. All the themes of this album are simply sublime, imposing and fast although varying in their compositions including acoustic parts as in the case of the song Master of Puppets, Welcome Home, Battery and others.
Personally I consider this album one of the best thrash metal albums and that has influenced later bands, however in real data the website "Metal Rules" considered it the best Metal studio album in history. It was an inspiration for me as a musician and guitarist as well as a goal to be able to play their songs when I was just learning to play the instrument and to educate my ear. I still get goosebumps every time I listen to any of the songs on this album.
El primer disco de oro de ésta banda fue adjudicado a éste álbum cuando en su momento llegó a alcanzar el medio millón de ventas tan solo en Estados Unidos, grabado en Dinamarca y con una duración de casi 55 minutos. Todos los temas de este disco son simplemente sublimes, imponentes y rápidos aunque variando en sus composiciones incluyendo partes acústicas como en el caso de la canción Master of Puppets, Welcome Home, Battery y otras.
Personalmente considero este disco uno de los mejores del thrash metal y que ha influenciado a las posteriores bandas, sin embargo en datos reales la web "Metal Rules" lo consideró el mejor álbum de estudio de Metal de toda la historia. Fue una inspiración para mí como músico y guitarrista además de ser una meta poder tocar sus canciones cuando recién aprendía a tocar el instrumento y a educar mi oído. Aún siento la piel de gallina cada vez que escucho cualquiera de los temas de este álbum.
Regarding the meaning of the album cover we can first mention that the name of the album is the same as the song Master of Puppets and this song refers to drugs and their consumption, making reference to the fact that the master is the drug and the puppets are the drug addicts or those who consume the drug.
In this way we can make an interpretation taking into account the elements of the cover where you see two hands with strings manipulating the tombs, being in this way we could say that the hands represent the drugs which are a master that manipulate the puppets that would be the tombs, the consumers, until taking them to death. During the song the vocalist of the band James Hetfield sings the song Master of Puppets under the position of the master.

Con respecto al significado de la portada del disco podemos mencionar primero que el nombre del álbum se llama igual que la canción Master of Puppets y está canción se refiere a las drogas y a su consumo, haciendo referencia a que el amo es la droga y los títeres son los drogadictos o los que consumen la droga.
De esta manera podemos hacer una interpretación tomando en cuenta los elementos de la portada en dónde se ven dos manos con cuerdas manipulando las tumbas, siendo de esta forma se podría decir que las manos representan las drogas las cuales son un amo que manipulan a los títeres que serían las tumbas, los consumidores, hasta llevarlos hasta la muerte. Durante la canción el vocalista de la banda James Hetfield canta la canción Master of Puppets bajo la posición del amo.
