Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I bring you my classic weekly review with songs to start the week with energy, this time the theme is about Camilo, a Colombian artist who has been iconic for his concept, his work as an artist, his marriage to Evaluna Montaner, daughter of the legendary Ricardo Montaner and so on.
On this occasion, even though Camilo has a lot of varied music, I bring you his latest releases, which went towards a more Latin than pop side, as he started to make Salsa songs and other Latin genres and I want to show you my opinion about it.
So, without further ado, let's get started!
¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy les traigo mi clásica reseña de cada semana con canciones para empezar la semana con energía, en esta ocasión la temática es sobre Camilo, un artista colombiano que ha sido icónico por su concepto, su trabajo como artista, su matrimonio con Evaluna Montaner, hija del legendario Ricardo Montaner y demás.
En esta ocasión, a pesar de que Camilo tiene mucha música variada, les traigo sus últimos lanzamientos, los cuáles se fueron hacia una parte más latina que pop, ya que empezó a realizar canciones de Salsa y otros géneros latinos y quiero mostrarles mi opinión al respecto.
Así que, sin más que agregar, ¡comencemos!
1.- Plis ft Evaluna Montaner
I start the review with this song that I must say is one of my favorites of all the songs that Camilo has done, first because it is a very tasty salsa to enjoy, secondly, because definitely the synergy with Evaluna when singing is simply epic, you can feel not only the fact that Evaluna and he love each other too much, but you can feel it even when listening to them sing, because everything they do takes on a lot of magic.
I love the combination of rhythms in this song in a very tasty way, the salsa, the güagüancó, there are even tropical and pop elements that give it that personal touch of Camilo, without losing the essence of what is Salsa as such, with everything and the soneo at the end, it is beautiful, this song to listen to and to dance to is simply epic.
Comienzo la reseña con esta canción que debo decir que es de mis favoritas de todas las canciones que ha hecho Camilo, primero porque es una salsa muy sabrosa para disfrutar, segundo, porque definitivamente las sinergia con Evaluna al cantar es simplemente épico, se nota a legüas no solo el hecho de que Evaluna y él se aman demasiado, sino que se siente incluso al escucharlos cantar, pues cobra mucha magia todo lo que hacen.
Me encanta de esta canción la combinación de ritmos de forma muy sabrosa, la salsa, el güagüancó, incluso hay elementos tropicales y pop que le dan ese toque personal de Camilo, sin perder la esencia de lo que es la Salsa como tal, con todo y el soneo al final, es hermoso, esta canción para escuchar y para bailar es simplemente épica.
2.- No Se Vale
This is one of the most danceable songs of all the releases and in fact, I love the fact that it reminds me a lot of a group that played a lot in the 2000's here in Venezuela as was “Salserin”, mythical group in which participated the great Venezuelan composers and songwriters Servando and Florentino, however, the chorus makes us remember that it is still a song by Camilo, by the way in which it enters the same.
The lyrics of this song are quite strong, because it is that story of when you separate from a person but you have not finished letting go because you still have a lot of feeling inside about that person but you realize that you are already forgotten and that a part of you is gone and you feel the frustration that it does not happen to you and you would give anything so that you could feel that way to overcome quickly and you can try again, it is epic.
Esta es de las canciones más bailables de todos los lanzamientos y de hecho, me encanta mucho el hecho de que me recuerda a un grupo que sonaba mucho por los 2000' aquí en Venezuela como era "Salserín", mítica agrupación en la que participaron los grandes compositores y cantautores venezolanos Servando y Florentino, sin embargo, el estribillo hace que recordemos que sigue siendo una canción de Camilo, por la manera en la que entra el mismo.
La letra de esta canción es bastante fuerte, porque es esa historia de cuando te separas de una persona pero no has terminado de dejarla ir ya que todavía te queda mucho sentimiento por dentro sobre esa persona pero te das cuenta de que ya te olvidaron y que se fue una parte de ti y sientes la frustración de que no te pasa a ti ese caso y darías lo que fuera para que pudieras sentirte de esa manera para superar rápido y puedas volver a intentarlo, es épica.
3.- Una Canción de Amor para La Pulga
There are few songs in life that I feel are absolutely and utterly forbidden to dedicate because of the amount of feeling that it can mean and this song definitely not only qualifies and qualifies, but it overflows, it is an ode to love, it is what I hope to one day feel for someone who feels this in the same way back, to compose something like this.
This song was made with pure heart blood pumping love everywhere, every phrase of this song has a wonderful purity and I have always been too much a follower of the relationship of Camilo and Evaluna because beyond the memes and the fact that many people label them as exaggerated or having a relationship of pure marketing, I feel that they are just two people who love each other too much and also have a magnificent life with many privileges that allow them to live that love to the fullest.
This song is to cry and smile at the same time, it is to be happy without being the person to whom they are dedicating it or the person who is dedicating it, it is sublime.
Hay pocas canciones en la vida que siento que están absoluta y rotúndamente prohibidas para dedicar por la cantidad de sentimiento que puede significar ello y esta canción definitivamente no solo cualifica y califica, sino que se desborda, es una oda al amor, es lo que algún día espero sentir por alguien que sienta esto de la misma manera de regreso, para componer algo así.
Esta canción fue hecha a pura sangre de corazón que bombea amor por todos lados, cada frase de esta canción tiene una pureza maravillosa y yo siempre he sido demasiado seguidor de la relación de Camilo y Evaluna porque más allá de los memes y el hecho de que muchas personas los cataloguen de exagerados o de tener una relación de puro marketing, yo siento que son solo dos personas que se aman demasiado y además tienen una vida magnífica con muchos privilegios que les permiten vivir a plenitud dicho amor.
Esta canción es para llorar y sonreír al mismo tiempo, es para ser feliz sin ser la persona a la que se la están dedicando o la persona que la está dedicando, es sublime.
Bonus Track.- Sálvame ft Alexander Abreu
Of all the collaborations I have heard from Camilo, I never thought in my life that he would get together with the master Alexander Abreu and much less to do a cover of a TEMAZO for all the people who at this time are 30 years and older as is Sálvame by RBD but in Salsa version, I feel it is crazy to listen to this version because the voice of Camilo in this type of Timba, was like a ring to the finger.
The arrangement was magnificent, the chorus gave a different atmosphere, a little more Cuban to this song but made it a masterpiece both to listen and to dance, as a Salsa dancer I feel that I could choreograph it without a doubt and I could interpret it too much because I already know the lyrics for a long time.
De todas las colaboraciones que he escuchado de Camilo, jamás en la vida pensé que se juntaría con el maestro Alexander Abreu y mucho menos para hacer un cover de un TEMAZO para todas las personas que en este momento tienen de 30 años en adelante como lo es Sálvame de RBD pero en versión Salsa, siento que es una locura escuchar esta versión porque la voz de Camilo en este tipo de Timba, quedó como anillo al dedo.
El arreglo fue magnífico, los coros le dieron una atmósfera distinta, un poco más cubana a esta canción pero la volvió una obra maestra tanto para escuchar como para bailar, como bailarín de Salsa siento que podría hacerle una coreografía sin lugar a dudas y podría interpretarla demasiado por ya conocer la letra de la misma desde hace mucho tiempo.
