They stick around you when things are good and fly away like birds when the good turns bad. Who exactly are you calling friend?

The world friend has been over familiarised to the extent that we meet someone today and in the next 2 hours, we start calling each other friends. What exactly does it mean to be a friend?

Friendship is defined as a state of enduring affection, esteem, intimacy, and trust between two people. Now you know what friendship means, what does it mean to be a friend?

A friend is a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations.

Hope you understood that. A friend is someone that shares a mutual affection with you, someone you trust, someone you care about and someone you feel secure and free with. Friendship has to do with mutual benefits, that is, you care for me, i care for you too. You trust me, i trust you too.

If the person you call friend is not giving you what you give, then he/she is not your friend. Unless you are the one not giving what you want to receive.

A friend is supposed to be with you in you difficult times. A friend is supposed to care for you and a friend is supposed to be someone you can trust.

And its not just that, Now the question is, Are you the kind of friend you wish for?

You want someone you can trust, someone that cares for you, and someone that will be with you in difficult times. Can you do the same for another person.

If you can't, then you are not a good friend. Being a good friend starts from us, if we can be the ideal friend we wish for, then definitely, the world would be a better place.

If i decide to be a good friend and John makes that same decision, then my friendship with John would be a good one.

Friendship is beyond mare words, be a good friend today and meet a lot of others like you. A good friendship is sweet, i hope you experience it.
