For today, I am already in my fourth theme in this challenge of “Zingtober ‘ in which following the list of words today corresponds something "exotic”, so taking advantage of this weekend off I wanted to make a simple but interesting drawing, because after thinking for a while I wanted to do something different from the rest, and when I read the word the first thing that came to my mind was the image of a strangely beautiful flower so from there I made a combination of exotic sunflower with the appearance of Woolio.
As always I usually make a sketch to start with, however, you are probably wondering why I chose Woolio and not another creature, you will see that Woolio in its original version has a sunflower petals appearance on its wool, so I thought it would look good with this idea.
For the design I also wanted to make a stem with a clear reference to the holozing logo, and as it is an exotic plant I made combined petals and some thorns.
Then I remarked as always the edges with pencil and I began with the task of adding dark tones with the pencil, taking into account that in the stem I had to use with more force my pencil, but for a change this time I made random shadows everywhere to improve them later with the eraser.
Here is already much more polished the drawing, because I eliminated the unnecessary strokes, now it corresponds to make shadows to the tender face of Woolio.
Everything seems to be ready, however, I think it was necessary to make some details with the Photoshop editor for a more striking result, because I wanted to improve the colour quality by adding a light navy blue filter and I put a layer of paint with a high opacity to give that effect of old painting or portrait.
I would definitely like to read some of your opinions to know if I managed to capture the message well, you will see me very soon with another drawing, as I see that there are still a lot of words and goings-on for future drawings in this challenge!
