Hi Hivers send Wednesday Walk community, it's Wednesday again, I don't know if you have any time to take a walk today. But for me I had a good time in my hometown now. And today I would like to walk you around a rice field near my place. As you may know I was born in grow up in Highlands of Vietnam. The main terrain in my hometown is mountains and hills. Rubber, pepper and coffee are popular perennial industrial plants in Highlands of Vietnam. But in the lowlands nestled between the mountains, we also have vast rice fields. And today I would like to take you to a place like that.
It's a rice field in Ea Kar district, Dak Lak province. This is the season of sowing rice here, and then the working atmosphere here is very busy. The weather was quite cloudy and cold, but there were many farmers on the fields. The rice fields here are divided into plots by small banks. To move around here, I had to walk on these banks. The soil there is quite wet and sticky.

Below is a type of vehicle common in my hometown. This local truck runs on diesel and is popularly used by locals to transport agricultural products. I know it is noisy and polluted but it is affordable and offers many advantages for farmers. It's ridiculous that I had a dream to drive this vehicle when I was a kid.
This is the season for sowing rice, so you can see quite a few farmers in the fields. The way to sow rice here is quite simple. After harvesting the rice, they wait until the rainy season comes, and this is the right time. They plow the land to make the soil loose. During that time, they prepare the best seeds. After the soil is ready, they bring the seeds out into the field and spread them over the whole field.
Walking around the field, greeting the farmers and seeing my hometown helped me have a good morning there. Unlike the hustle and bustle of the city, everything there is peaceful. I also learned a lot because I am fortunate to have a job that is much less strenuous than that of the farmers.
