Hi Hivers in Pinmapple community, how are you? Today I would like to take you to a beautiful beach in early morning. That is My Loi beach in Phu Loc district, Thua Thien Hue province, which is my mother's hometown. I only know about this place through my mother's stories about her childhood, and today I had the opportunity to set foot and see this land with my own eyes. And so I decided to get up early to enjoy the fresh air of this beautiful beach.
Unlike life in big cities, the rhythm of life in rural areas like My Loi starts earlier. From 5am, everyone wakes up to prepare for a new working day. When I went to the beach at around 5:30, the fishermen were already there and doing their daily work even though it was quite cold early in the morning at the beach. Watching the beautiful sunrise on the beach is a breathtaking experience. The brilliant colors of dawn, the sound of crashing waves and the smell of salty air made me feel peaceful and serene. As the sun begins to rise, the sky changes color from dark blue to pink, orange, and yellow. The reflection of the sun on the water creates a beautiful golden hue and the silhouettes of the other fishermen working on the beach add to the picturesque setting.
Fishermen working on the beach face many challenges but they look very happy with their lives. Fishermen at the beach usually start their day early in the morning. Some people set sail in rudimentary and small fishing boats to start fishing. They look so small compared to the raging waves and the vast ocean out there. Indeed, the process of fishing can be physically demanding and requires patience. Looking at the way they steer their small boat on the high seas, I know that they have been skilled fishermen for a long time. It is possible that fishing in the sea is a profession passed down from generation to generation for them.
Others fished on the shore by pulling the nets. They may be people with less health. They cannot go out in small boats, so they choose to fish on the shore. They are usually experienced elders, many of them 60-70 years old. However, they are indeed strong men. Despite the cold, they still worked enthusiastically. I think for them fishing is not only their livelihood but also their daily pleasure. That's when they get to meet their friends. The scene of working at the beach in the early morning is bustling.
And the happiest time for the fishermen is when the boats come ashore and the nets are pulled in. Strong men are responsible for sailing and pulling nets, while women are waiting on the shore to bring fish and seafood to the market in time to sell for the morning market. People's lives also depend a lot on the weather, it seems that in this season, they don't catch a lot of fish, but in return, they catch a lot of jellyfish. I could see the joy beaming on their faces at what they caught. They even showed me very large jellyfish. After collecting fish and seafood from boats and nets, they quickly transport them to the market so they are fresh when they are sold to customers.
It was truly a wonderful morning at the beach. I had the opportunity to admire the beautiful sunrise over the sea and feel the peaceful atmosphere in my mother's hometown.
