Today, God is trying to tell us that we shouldn't believe every spirit because there are many false prophets. He said again in 1 John 4:1; Believe not every spirit but try every spirit if they are for God. There are too many false prophets.
1 chorinthians 4:6; and these things brethrens, I have in a figure transferred to my side and to allow for your sake; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another. This already explains everything. Many people who don't know the scriptures tend to manipulate the people of God. Even Jesus was tempted by Satan after 40 days in the wilderness where Devil wanted to manipulate him using God's words against him.
The commandments of the lord are the basics we should follow. In Philippians 1:27; only let your conversations be as it becomes and see ye or else be absent, I may hear from your affairs that ye stands fast in the spirit with one mind striving to seek for the faith of the gospel. God is encouraging us to read the Bible and not only reading the Bible, we should pray and tell the holy spirit to come and be with us to guide, teach, direct and make us understand God's words. He also tells us that if any man teaches otherwise and conceal the word of God, he or she shall face judgement. The word of God is according to Godliness. If anyone teaches false doctrines, it is against the will of God.
Even God told us in Matthew 17:5 when Jesus was baptized. He said that this was his beloved son in who he is well pleased with. Is God pleased in the actions of me and you? This should be the questions all of us have to ask each other or rather one another. The common problem in our times is we listen to other instead of Christ. I also understood today that we should not allow Buhhda teach us because they are not authorized to teach the doctrines and on the other hand if we listen to false doctrines, I came to understand that it has implications too.
We have to practice religion seriously because so many people are teaching fake doctrines. Even Christ told his disciples before assending to heaven as he said in Matthew 28:19 & 20. This was where he told his disciples that will will always be with them and he will send the holy spirit as a helper or us on earth.
Today, I also learnt that the first doctrine of Christ is Baptism. Baptism is a major way to join the church of Christ. Baptism are done to wash away your old sins and be a new vessel in the lord. Even saint Paul was baptized after joining the church of God. I encourage you all to join us in our next service and remain blessed. Have a nice week ahead guys. One love
