I am so excited right now buttt there are two reasons and before we get into that. Hi hello this is Doreen and welcome to another episode of … drumroll rolls please… what did Doreen make [lol this just sounded like I was on a podcast or something]

Back to why we are here like I said I'm excited for two reasons. First one is I have not made a ruffle hat in a long long time I can bet that my hands were itching to make some or even one. If you know me you like I like making these ruffle ghat they are simple but 10 out of 10 times they have the prettiest structures. It takes time but tge result is definitely worth the wait.

Second reason is that the Reenie hat, a ruffle hat design I made almost a year ago or less. I'm not so good with dates but yeah I designed it literally out of boredom one of the days I was at the shop.

Anyways my man wanted to get something for his sister and for the longest she has been asking me to send her a ruffle hat so he took the chance and ordered for a design she would like and luckily for me it was this.

He made his order followed regular procedure and I got to work. I have only made one of this which was the original of this design so I had to be careful while making this. I got started and yeah I used the original as a reference for stitch count and row count [that's a thing right]

I finished the based switched between baby pink and Peach and then came my favourite part THE RUFFLESSSSS yes I screamed it. Unpopular opinion I prefer bold ruffles to the tiny ones that go round and round and tend to make you dizzy.

Like I said it's not popular, most people prefer the latter but i'm a bold ruffled girlie.

I did get stuck trying to remember how many increases I made for the first and third row so that took a long while and trust me time did not fly by for this particular one.

After taking ages like a snail would tp cross the road I figured it out and got straight to work.

At the point only thing that was on my mind was “I need to see the finished look” “would she like it” yes I get anxious about my clients reactions to the fits or accessories I make for them and I think every artisan does.

When I finished. I took my pictures, found my way to FedEx and a few days later I got my review “I like it so much, I can wear it with different outfits. Now I don't have to worry about head wear for those particular clothes” news reaching me was she was dancing. I won't lie I too started giggling.

That's a cute and classic hat. Perfect for casual outings like the beach, etc. nice work

Thank you. I'm happy you like it.

You said it, it's worth the effort, because the ruffles look wonderful and add a lot of personality to the hat. Beautiful work.

Thank youuuuu. Definitely looking forward to my next work.

Definitely right about that. I'm so glad you like it.
