Hi hi how are you and how did your day gooooo. So I was gisting you guys earlier about how an order made me feel like a potato and all that soooooooo I finally got to finish up the romper so here's a little gist before we get into the making of this cute romper.
So I actually surprised her with the gift today since we work out at the same gym so I thought instead of sending a dispatch rider it'll be good to do it on my own since I was going there already plus I wanted to add a personal touch to the whole gifting and delivery process
She was shocked at first then started grinning and yunno all the stages of excitement. She was so happy about the romper since it was something she already had her eye on for the longest.
So the thing is the birthday card that was in the box didn't have a name. Her man asked me not to add a name so she'll ponder about who sent it to her. She was like who told you to make it. Tell me nah. Oya what did they bribe you with. So you'll really not tell me.
I was like sorry o it's client confidentiality She spent a few hours thinking of who it was that got it for her and in tge end I think he called and told her I dunno I stepped out for a bit and when I came back she was like its my man abi I still said I dunno o but there was a caught.
To making this now. I've never made a romper. I think not even I think I am one of the crocheters that barely randomly make things just for making sake.
The only reason I'll make a new outfit is if its a gift, or I want to change the cloth on my mannequin at the shop, if I'm trying a new pattern (mostly tops), if I'm making for myself or if it's an order.
I'll never randomly make something and of all these decisions a romper had just never crossed my mind before not even once.
So making this was very exciting and the thrill was up there. You know that feeling when you get your hands on something you never knew you wanted till you had it.
That was me the three days I used to make this. And no, I didn't spend all day on it. I shuffled in between projects so I wouldn't get bored of it. I wanted to finish it in time so I had to keep that excitement up there.
Once I finished I had to ask my girl to try it out so I'll be sure of the sizing and boom. This came out so fineeeee. I'm not even going to lie.
Things I used to make this romper:
4.0 mm hook for the
Stitch markers
7 40g yarns
Scissors
Measurement tape
