Hello, Wednesday walkers how are you all, it has been a good while since I have submitted a post for #wednesdaywalk. The past month has not only been super busy for me with blogging and streaming but it has also been extremely cold. For most of December, it was -32 C on average I'm Canadian but even that is a bit too cold for me. It is so cold that when you walk outside your face feels like it is cracking and your jacket feels like it will shatter from being out there for a few mins.
Finally, it is nice again and today was a perfect day to get back out there and start getting active again. Here are some pictures I took on my walk tonight, it was gorgeous out and the fresh air filling my lungs was just what I needed.
Walking my main trail around the ridge I stop to take a picture of the highway. It was pretty empty and quiet today just a few trucks passing by and the street lights brightening up the roads. I really like the two trees and the small pathway in the picture.
"All truly great thoughts are conceived by walking."
-Friedrich Nietzsche.
The old Boston Pizza sign could really use a touch up it is old and tattered the letters are faded and the pizza slice on it doesn't even light up anymore. I remember when this first went up and it was fresh and glowing like new...man that only felt like yesterday time surely flies when your not paying attention.
"I love walking because it clears your mind, enriches the soul, takes away stress, and opens up your eyes to a whole new world ."
-Claudette Dudley
Love this picture as well the way the streetlight is in between the tree providing a little hue of orange glow down the street below.
"The ground we walk on, the plants and creatures, the clouds above constantly dissolving into new formations - each gift of nature possessing its own radiant energy, bound together by cosmic harmony."
-Ruth Bernhard.
A lone light lights up the evergreen in the yard beside it providing a scenic pathway. The ground is still covered in some snow slowly melting over the past few days on of my favourite little paths to walk down.
"We live in a fast-paced society. Walking slows us down."
-Robert Sweetgall.
On the final path, I took a picture of this little snow way the light placed directly in the center of the square is just enough to add a light in the starry night.
The best way to lengthen out our days is to walk steadily and with a purpose.
Charles Dickens
