After Practical Class Textile Factory Visit

Assalamu Alaikum. I am back to you with a new blog, wishing everyone good health. Hope you are all doing much better. Today I am going to tell you about textile mill visit. I am studying textile engineering. After our practical class, our teacher took us to textile mills at different times to gain more knowledge about that subject. From there we can learn by hand and know how the machine works. As a result, our interest in learning increases a lot. Now let me share with you some things about textile mill visit. Hope you all like it a lot.

I woke up in the morning and got ready to go to class. After the class the teacher took us to visit a textile mill in front of the campus. As there are various types of textile mills around our campus, we can easily visit various mills by attending theory classes as well as practical classes.

Warping

There are basically two types of processes in operation in the factory we visited. Warping and sizing. First we looked at the warping process. Here mainly yarn is woven. Here various processes are adopted such as conversion from small package to large package and conversion from large package to small package. There is an auto sensor system in case of thread breakage during threading, thereby reducing wastage.

Sizing

Then after we got an idea about the warping process, the interest to know about the sizing increased. Here are creel, dryer, headstroke. We found that steam is required during sizing. Here starch, oil, wax and prepared material are used in sizing. Abrasion resistance of yarn increases after sizing. Then the cloth or yarn is prepared for the next process.

Finally we got knowledge about sizing and warping process and discussed with the concerned practical sir and completed our mill visit process by submitting lab report. This was my textile mill visit and tour today. We guys had a great time here. Each of our moments is a lesson.
