Splinterlands Diary 26.12.22 - Weirding Warrior

Hello friends, the last week of the year has started, and since I have some free time I'm happy to spend it in Splinterlands.

Today I decided to pump up my deck a bit, so I opened a couple of Chaos Legion packs with some rare cards and an epic archer - WEIRDING WARRIOR.

I can't call it my favorite card, but it helped me out a lot when I was low on mana and I finally made it to level 2 :)

Naturally, I decided to seize the moment and use it in battle and I didn't have to wait long. At the same time I faced a very interesting opponent with a level 5 Tars summoner and a well pumped ANTOID PLATOON and LAVA SPIDER archer, all backed up by an epic level 4 URAEUS.

So, I decided to play inexpensive cards, so I chose the following lineup:

WAKA SPIRITBLADE

One of my favorite summoners with the coolest ability to let my cards poison my opponent on attack. The extra damage is fun.

SHADOWY PRESENCE

Since I chose inexpensive archers and mages, they needed a "wall" to protect them on their first turns, and this card seemed like a great option for defense.

UNDEAD PRIEST

It's a great Death elemental mage. For a small cost, his ability to "lower" my opponent's health has helped me more than once, and could be very useful if my opponent would have chosen weak cards.

FALLEN SPECTER

For a small cost this mage has excellent speed, which gives a significant advantage in combat, and given the ability to poison the enemy, it turns into an ultimatum weapon.

DARKEST MAGE

Magic attacks are never plentiful, so I gave the next line to this mage. In addition, if the opponent is much stronger, the archers standing behind him will have a small head start to attack.

WEIRDING WARRIOR

This archer's ability to destroy shields is very underrated, and if the opponent rolls a card with a strong shield in the defense, then the attack of this archer will clearly increase my chances of winning.

UNDEAD ARCHER

Don't forget that healers are very popular, so I decided to complete the combo with this archer, neutralizing the ability to heal. Especially the first position could have been FLESH GOLEM or SEA MONSTER.

My intuition was right, and my WEIRDING WARRIOR worked brilliantly against ANTOID PLATOON's shields, speeding up my breakthrough to the rest of my opponent's pair of cards. The battle was swift and the victory was very easy.
