And sick only one!
This saying came to mind when I saw the topics in this week's #weekend-engagement
But I don't know if I can separate the topics or if this story of mine will overlap two topics.
Tricky 🤔
Today, before the weekend, my partner and I took the day off from work.
We decided to make ourselves a blessed weekend.
Pleasure? Unfortunately no.
Rather, I would say, the need for relaxation.
A need arising from our condition since last weekend.
On the day of the New Year's Eve, we attended a matinee celebration, with drinks, lunch and music.
We continued hanging out in the apartment and thus welcomed the new year and the dawn.
On January 1, as usual, we go to the "Open heart" street, where we attended an open-air concert and in the evening we went to a pub for a New Year's Eve reprise.
That's how it is with us. One celabration is not enough for us, we immediately double it...
On the second of January, I felt mild symptoms of a cold.
On the third of January, I had to go to work, because colleagues were taking days off and someone had to be in the office.
And that's how I sat all Friday with teas and septolet to ease the pain in the throat.
And so, I welcomed the weekend with a cold.
And that's why this saying from the beginning of the postt, that a sick person has only one wish - to get well.
No matter how small and easily treatable the disease is.
And so I tie two topics this week into one:
What did you do last weekend?
What's the worst weekend you've ever had and why?
Because last weekend, I spent measuring my temperature (which was constantly between 37.5 and 38.5°C both days), drinking various medicines to relieve cold and flu symptoms, and drinking hot drinks, vitamins and teas.
I can't remember which weekend was the worst weekend in my life, but here is the last one, which completely failed me, probably the worst in the last year or two.
If I had to remember the worst weekend in my life, it would probably be another one when I was sick, because only illness can completely spoil a person's quality of life to such an extent that he calls the days spent the worst in his life...
The only tricky thing is that the cold I had last weekend lasted on Monday and Wednesday, when I had to work again, with a cough and a runny nose, so Thursday was probably one of the hardest for me in the last couple of years. I barely made it home from work.
For this reason, I decided to take a day off today and finally fully recover.
The upcoming weekend will certainly be better than the last one, I expect some walking and spending time outdoors, but it would not be a suitable weekend for another topic for this week, because I will certainly not have the strength for a walk in nature, which is the only thing I consider a real weekend outdoors.
I hope that last weekend was much better for you than it was for me, that you really enjoyed it, did something wild or spent it outdoors.
