There is one period of the year that I don't particularly like.
Mid-autumn, when it gets colder and the GoT line "Winter is coming" starts to make sense.
Although the maximum daily temperature does not correspond to the date (it exceeds 23°C, it is warmer than some days in the middle of summer), the morning temperature is very low.
As they say, it's coldest before dawn 🥶
That winter time is approaching, it was clear to me this morning, when I left for work, and the winter from the damp air got under my skin, I shook myself, tucked my head into the collar of my jacket and quickened my #WednesdayWalk steps.
The lit street lighting that I saw this morning when I went to work is a clear sign that the day is already so short that the sensors on the street lighting are turned off only around 7 in the morning.
In a few days, on the last weekend of October, in my country the clock changes to winter time. going forward one hour...
So I expect that when I go to work in the morning it will be brighter, maybe the sun will come out, but that's why, unlike today, when I got home, and it hasn't started to get dark yet, in November I expect lit street lamps to welcome me when I will be returning home.
These changeable October and November days, I observe low morning temperatures and high daytime temperatures, when there are no players on the basketball court until the sun is out, but while the sun warms the court will be occupied by young basketball players.
Add, subtract, what do I have left from mid-October to mid-February?
Nothing, just darkness.
I miss all the light when I'm at work, locked in the office.
Luckily, my office has windows and only if I turn in my chair, I have a beautiful landscape behind me, an expanse in the sight of which I often rest my eyes.
I don't know what your jobs are like, whether you work indoors or outdoors, which hemisphere you live in, and whether your days are getting shorter these days (if you're in the north) or your days are getting longer (if you're in the south), and do you like winter or summer...
I have nothing against any season, but it's much nicer when I come home from work and there are still a few hours of sunshine before tomorrow (in June or July, for example...).
Today I walked from work to my apartment, on the way I took pictures of the sun that started to set, and when I got home, I spiced up this Wednesday, like every other, by hanging out with Hive friends in #HHHlive, which marked with this live anniversary and the 30th show in total, organizing an interesting quiz.
Although it was a busy day at work, I really enjoyed the #Wednesdaywalk and hanging out with the quiz, all in the Hive world.
Hive world, I wish you a good evening, morning and very good day!
