On the beach Orikum in Albania, in a garden full of flowers, where I was swimming last week, I heard a loud buzzing that I followed with a glance. A large black bee caught my attention. I took a picture when bee landed on a flower. I have never seen such an insect before and I have read more details about this species on the Internet.
I am left with a nice picture and the knowledge I gained from reading the wikipedia article: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylocopa_violacea

As you wrote, I have beautiful pictures of nature, but most of them are more than a week old :-)
