"Son's will" - the first Serbian post-apocalyptic film

Since the movies that are shown in cinemas, started to deal with the retelling of some old blockbusters, to use themes with heroes from cartoons and that the tickets for the screening cost so much that one cinema ticket has to be allocated more money than for a theater performance, I started to avoid them in a wide arc.

I go occasionally when there is a day with a discount when the tickets are cheaper, to see a film that has a good attendance or recommendations of someone whose film tastes I know and I know we agree...

And I must go to FEST, which is held at the end of every winter, with films of various genres and productions, from different continents and speaking areas.
I almost always go to the cinema to watch a new domestic film, in order to support domestic cinematography.

I say almost always, because even though it's local, sometimes I miss a movie that I find out beforehand is a fiasco.

I haven't heard any reviews for the new movie Volja sinovljeva "Son's will".

Neither good nor bad.
Everything I heard about this film was on a TV show where the guest was one of the actresses in the film Isidora Simijonović, whom I have seen in several domestic series and in the theater.

She told. that the shooting of this film started 7 years ago, but due to lack of funds, it took a long time.
The film was supported by some well-known Serbian actors (one of them does not appear in his character, but is always under a mask

Miloš Biković)
and the narrator of the film is the unfortunately deceased actor Žarko Laušević.

I also heard that the plot of the film is post-apocalypse.

How will Serbian production make a post-apocalyptic film? Perhaps our cinematography has never encountered such a work.

The action of the film is set somewhere and sometime (without a clearly defined time frame), and the only thing that indicates that it takes place in these areas are the names worn by the heroes of the film.
With the landscapes that are in the frames, the action can take place anywhere and anytime.
In the film, in addition to the narrator I have already mentioned, the story is told by a blind fiddler, playing his fiddle.

The story briefly goes like this: The main character, Jovan

played by Igor Benčina, moves to the city, where on the way to his goal, to avenge his family and find his sister, he meets various challenges, fights for his bare life, joins a gang, falls in love with a beautiful girl.
And in the city, he fights against his enemy, his childhood friend Tuđin, played by Sergej Trifunović

This movie, although set in the period after the nuclear disaster, is actually a story about tradition, love, sacrifice and respect.
It shows the need for people to gather in basic human communities, clans, in order to ensure their own existence.

Excellent shots, unreal ambience (in the style of Mad Max), fantastic masks, well-coordinated movements during the fight, very good acting, with some film mistakes (easy to see for the sharp eye of the viewer), make this movie good to watch.
