Perfect won’t help

I started running last year and at that time I couldn’t run a long distance and this has nothing to do with the fact that I was lazy because I was already building muscle but not used to running. I remember starting with my younger brother and within a few weeks he stopped, He said he was too stressed and that he would rather be on a calorie deficit for losing weight than running but that did not stop me and each weekend may seem tough for me but I kept on going, I keep on building through consistency. When you look at where I am now it is crazy because I run 13km every weekend. I just need a few more kilometers to go on a marathon every weekend and I believe I can even get better.

There were times that I couldn’t run up to 1 km but with consistency, I was able to build strength and also help myself. I was not planning to build perfection, I planned to build gradually even as it is now and I never reached the level of a pro athlete, It might take another year or two before I can reach that level but the point is that I started from somewhere and I’m heading somewhere. This is where most people can get it from some of us stopped because the pattern was very hard and he believed that we couldn’t keep up. He should continue in that direction. We don’t let consistency do it then we start an ad that would have been beneficial to us in the long run.

Don’t look for perfection

Most people don’t believe in consistency. They don’t know how doing something over time can change their life. This is just like going to the gym, the more time you stress your muscle the bigger it becomes. When we are consistent, We are training our brains to adapt to the new changes. Anything that we are doing consistently simply means that we are building our body, and our mind to shift and build towards what we’re trying to do. This can be mentally or physical, as long as consistency is involved there will be a change in our body. We might start badly but as long as we don’t give up eventually will be better than 80% of the world’s population

Most people want perfection and immediately you prioritize perfection it would be very difficult for you to follow consistency because consistency is far from perfection, when we are seeking perfection makes us lazy. Sometimes seeking perfection doesn’t make us fully committed because we’ll be doubting ourselves. All you have to do is believe that you can get better when you put in more effort, time, dedication, and consistency. When you are looking at doing it perfectly at first before you start your journey this might be a big hindrance in building a long time. You don’t know what you are capable of doing until you are only consistent with something.

Thanks for your time.

For me, I try to take a long term approach right from the start when it comes to trying out something new, I think it's also good to manage expectations, we can't expect ourselves to become a pro with only a few months of training, besides, there's also lot of mistakes to make, that we need to learn from and get better at it.
