How did I get here?
Once, I was like a free bird who soared high
Filled with dreams and visions of the future
Painted in rainbows, a beauty to behold
Who made a snare for me?
Maybe myself, or the height I attained
A deceiver of victors, to steal the beauty
And make an illusion of what was once true
Now the weight is too heavy to carry
A shadow lingers where the joy should be
Dragging down every attempt to fly
No more sunshines, no more glory of freedom
Left on the ground with burdens I've gathered for myself
So I'll rise above the weight I bear
And find a strength, to finally share
To teach us grace, where we may have gone wrong
And know that peace will surely come
A tiny spark, to banish darkness plight
