The haunted house

in #hive-1611552 months ago

No one had an idea how long the building had been abandoned, the howling of owls and screams that emanated from the building was a nightmare to those who lived around there. The haunted house was always lighted, shadows could be seen walking through the pane windows in the gigantic building that had lived for a thousand years.

It was the fourth quarter of the year, a period where evil dominated. Caution signs spread through the city of Doha warning all residents to stay off. It was a period of intense fear for the residents.

Curiosity never departed from Ade who had always wondered what happened in the haunted house. He made plans to visit, and the fourth quarter was the perfect time for him, he thought. slowly Ade worked his way through the brush and the young trees that had grown up through the cracked foundation of the building. At the base of the staircase, Ade halted and stood at the end of a long room that appeared to have once been a hall. Dry skulls littered on the floor.
"Who are you and what are you looking for?" An unknown voice asked. Ade turned around looking for where the voice came. Fear gripped him , he turned to leave but couldn't find his way.

No one ever saw Ade again. Rumour spread that the gods took him, when actually he roamed the haunted house without finding his way out just like the thousand others seen yearly in the lighted pane windows.

A good story and you explained the character behind the windows, thanks for joining

Thank you freewritehouse

Well, he was warned ... he is among the 1,001 now ... good story!

I believe everyone lost in that haunted house are people of curiosity 😂

I would think so ... and they probably have cats for pets!

Hahaha, and who knows if the cats are dead or alive

Heh, heh, heh, those visitors don't know what they'll face when they walk through the door or climb through the window into that abandoned building. In Latin folklore, they say ‘curiosity killed the cat’.

And in the case of Ade, it indeed killed him 😆

😂
At least, he fed his curiosity and found the truth. Now he has learned the hard way. Beautiful story, 😊

Unfortunately there's no return for him
