This week has been an interesting but stressful week. For some days now I've been under the weather and as a result canceled a number of jobs I should've filled. This feeling of helplessness is strange to me and as much as possible I try not to get in this state. This is one of the reasons I chose this character, she is ready to fight for that which she wants. And also I wanted to flaunt my Green ink a bit. The instinct that kicks in when survival is threatened is very powerful and I hope I was able to capture this in my entry.
There's a number of things I wish to say but I'll let the steps do the talking...

The card

Originally when I was editing I noticed a lot of difference between this lineart I drew using my Blue pen and the later steps but what more could I do, the deed was done. You can see how well I spelt everything...

As is my usual practice, I recapped the process all over again. This was somehow fun as it was almost as if I was tracing lines. I corrected some postures in this step that I felt were off. I didn't do everything apparently but the change is obvious.

after my path was set I immediately painted the figure Red, or atleast the parts that were Red. When I was doing this I thought of the phrase "we'll paint the streets Red".

The next thing I did was to add some Yellow colouring which my friends is also new 😁

Honestly speaking, at this point I didn't know what colour to fill in as par the clothes. I just improvised and shaded it back with some blue. I did the same thing for the hair and staff.

Moving on, I coloured the face with my Green pen which I introduced last week in my post.

Lastly I tried achieving some realism. It's not obvious but I think it's enough.

The materials I used while making this sketch are Blue, Black, Green, Yellow and Red pens from four (4) brands.

You are more than welcome to stop by any time you feel like it. I promise to always keep you entertained with my art.
