Have you ever contemplated taking your life because things aren't working as you wish in your life? If you haven't, that is very good, but if you have ever thought of ending your life because of an ugly situation, you find yourself. I'm here to encourage you.
Life itself is not a bed of roses. Many are born with a golden spoon in their mouth, whereas many people toiled day and night to make both ends meet. It is not actually your fault that you are starting from scratch without any help or inheritance whatsoever from anywhere.
After passing through medical school, I found school life very tough and unbearable. The Devil made me believe that the best option was to kill myself so that I wouldn't be facing my challenges again. As funny as it is, I bought the idea, but on second thought, I asked myself a very crucial question.
Is the life you are considering taking your own?

Some may say that your life is yours and yours alone, but I want to tell you that the breath you have in you does not belong to you. You can't take a life that you can't replace. What will you tell your creator? How do you think your loved ones will cope with your dismissal? The heartbreak and trauma they will pass through in the remembrance of your untimely death as a result of your suicide act.
When such thoughts come to your mind, you have to do something urgently in order to prevent it from coming over and over again. What actually helped me was that I constantly confessed and prophesied good things in my life. I told myself that God, who created me, knows that a time like this will come. I stayed strong, and it was a matter of days before the thought of suicide disappeared.
Had it been that I took my own life, I wouldn't have been able to witness how far God has brought me. My present condition is ten times better than it was in the past. I keyed into the power of divinity, and I surmounted the veil the devil used to cover my sunshine. You can do the same. Never think that all hopes are lost. When you think that your strength is failing you, God will carry you on his shoulder
During the time I was passing through depression, I miraculously stepped on the word of God, which says, "Pain may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning." Now might be your night; please endure it because the latter rain will be greater than the former. Be diligent in the little that's being given to you, and more shall be granted to you.
Depression is natural, but suicide is bad and never accepted in society. One of the greatest ways to fight against depression is to open up to the people around you. When I talk about people, I mean those that understand what you are passing through and not those that will use the information you shared with them against you in the near future. Depression thrives most in secrecy. Once you expose it, it can't get hold of you much, unlike when you decide to keep it all to yourself. Learn to build a relationship with people of the same mindset that you can confide in when times of adversity and trials come.
Don't allow depression to dim your light. You can overcome it. Yes, you heard me right. Stand from that dug and clean yourself up; help is on the way. Never lose hope in life, even when it seems like all hopes are lost. I was able to pass through the same phase of life without killing myself; you too can do it. If there's anyone around you who is depressed or passing through a hard time, be a hope and a comforter to the person; it doesn't require much to do good to others.
