ON THE RAILROAD

in #hive-19491310 months ago

Hello photography lovers. Some time ago I wanted to make a post about the subject I propose today: railroads.

I grew up in Guane, a small rural town in the province of Pinar del Rio, Cuba. It is in that town where the railroads of the western part of the country end. There is a railroad terminal there with a huge stretch of track mounted on a swing bridge. In the old days the trains did not have the option of going in reverse, the locomotive had to be rotated in some way and that is where this enormous apparatus came into action. The locomotive would enter this bridge and turn 180 degrees for its return trip. There they called it the turntable.

I lived many years of my childhood very close to that terminal, my friends at that time and I played on those tracks almost every day and we loved it. Hence my nostalgia for the railroad tracks.

Nature is prevailing. Strength!💪

This proposal that I bring today, although they are not photographs of that place, takes me back to that time when we were very happy, children at last, without worries of any kind, just play and play. It's been a long time since I've been there and several years since I've been on a train.

It seems that the levitation system is being implemented, at least this section of track is levitating.🤪

Taking these pictures brought back many good memories. I hope you like them as much as I do.
See you in a future post!
