FanArt Holozing: 🖌drawing Wrackoo🍃

in #hive-13113110 months ago

What's up platform and community friends, we return to one of my passions which is art, an art that goes hand in hand with another of my passions such as technology as this is a digital art, I consider that I have a better finish with a mouse and keyboard than with pencil and paper 😅, however it is still art which is the important thing.
Today dear Hivers I come with a new work dedicated to that great project that has us all with many expectations, I'm talking about Holozing, a game that only with some previews has caught many of us, imagine what it will be when we can see previews of the game itself and how it will be its gameplay here on the platform. I know that like me many are impatient because Holozing is inspired by one of the most famous games and its theme is very addictive when it comes to catching creatures and creating our own story with a team; but that will be a topic for another post, for now enjoy this simple tutorial to paint one of the initial creatures "Wrackoo" one of the most loved by members of the community, so I decided to add it to my FanArt.

For those of you who already know my drawing style, you will know that I like to draw by references, that is to say, to start from a specific point to develop the rest of the artwork.
In this case I decided to take as a midpoint of the canvas part of the snout of the creature from which the eyebrows will originate, with these two simple elements captured on the canvas, we will have a very good reference for the rest of the body of Wrackoo.

Once we have our center of the canvas, it is time to start shaping the rest of the head, we will slowly join lines until we get the right shape.
In my opinion this is one of the most important steps since the face is the one that sells the product, it is usually the first thing we see, besides if we get a good finish we will have a great part of the work completed successfully.

Having Wrackoo's head, we will proceed to join it with the body, as with the head, we will divide the body into sections, giving priority to those that are closer to the lines of the head.
With this we will achieve the correct dimensions and we will not distort the figure of the creature.

We will give a final touch to the body drawing the characteristic cocoon tail of the character, this will be the last element to incorporate being in my opinion considered the most external part of the body compared to the others or in other words, no other part of the body is born from it.

Having the sketch of the character, it was time to give it color, another of the most important steps to make a drawing eye-catching. In the case of Wrackoo his color palette is based on green, in his fur he has several shades of green, without leaving aside the shade of his eyes characteristic of a raccoon.
From this step we will begin to see the shape of our drawing.

With the work almost finished it is time to give it life, realism and for this we will add shadows and lights, with these small details a professional finish is achieved, although the drawing is of the simplest with a few lines of light and against other lines of shadows manages to stand out to the eye.
As a tip in this step we must understand on which side we will decide to add the light so that on the opposite side goes the shadow, for this we will use white color and for the shadows the own base colors of the character only with a lower percentage of opacity.

Finally we can unveil our artwork, for personal taste we can add some background, personal signature, details, but the base of everything that is the Wrackoo creature is completed.

I enjoy very much to humbly share my work, being aware that the level that is handled in the FanArt is high with professional computer programs, however with this post I show you that with effort and dedication to what they do not need a large canvas, in my case I used the basic program of the pc PAINT, one that everyone has ever used, it is only a matter of practice and gaining skill with your hands either in digital or with paper and pencil.

For my part it only remains for me to say goodbye hoping that you liked the work shared today, I would appreciate it very much if you give it love and let me know your opinions in the comments. So, a happy day and until another opportunity!!!.
