Hello my fellow Photography Lovers, I hope I see you all well today, on this lovely day.
Today I have this big jumping spider for you to enjoy, quite big compared to the other jumping spider that I usually see and photograph.
Unfortunately, I could not find much info about this big jumping spider except for his Latin name. This is Artabrus erythrocephalus , a jumping spider usually found in Singapore and Java. But I think the info in Wikipedia should be reviewed and edited since I found it here in Bali.
First, please enjoy the lovely, and mesmerizing front eyes of this jumping spider. It looks round and big, the other two side eyes also compliment its front eyes.
Now look at the hairs that can be seen on its legs and its body. They can be used as a detection system for spiders. They are so sensitive to sense movement around the spider. Which is very functional to locate the prey of this spider.
And here is the shot of this spider from the side. You can see the color of the base of its legs is green, which is quite dominant for this spider. And there is red on the upper side of its head.
Here are other shots from the front side of this spider.
Can you see the big fangs of this spider? Quite scary isn't it?
And here is the shot from the back side of this spider. The head with a red color on its head, some green on the base of its legs, and on its thorax. And then the coloration on its abdomen.
Then here you can enjoy some other photos of this beautiful spider that is a little bit unknown.
