Hello everyone, it is another great day again! I hope everyone of you is doing great by the grace of God. Today is another beautiful day and I will use this special opportunity provided for us by the authorities of the platform to share mine school Hanover program with the house. My school in which I teaches had a handover program for the final year students. This program started long time in the school and the school authorities do this program every year for the final year student to handover to their juniors. Few days left for the final year students to go for their final year examination so there is a need for them to hand over all their positions and the school properties in their custody to their juniors.
Anytime the seniors who is the final year students are about to leave the school, the school usually organise a program too Good by them. Among the activities in the program include school election, school drama all play, choreography, poem recitations, music and dance. The first among the activities to be performed is the school election. The school organises election so that the juniors who will now take over from the final year students will be given opportunity to contest the various positions in the school. Among these positions are; boys prefect, girls prefect, compound overseer, Office girl, Sanitation prefect and section leaders.
ABOUT TO START THE ELECTION
Election was organised for this students who were contesting for thes various positions. The authorities of the school when to the electoral commission of Ghana in the district capital for electoral materials. Electoral materials were arranged for the students to start the election. Electoral materials such as ballot boxes, thumbprint, stamp and stamp pad, indelible ink an order Electoral materials. The students where lined up to vote for their favourite candidates. The teachers in the school acted as election officials for the school election.
ELECTION BEGAN
Then the students finished voting, it was counted the candidates to know their faith. Those who won the election were very happy and those who lost fell sad throughout the day. When they finished with the election, the handover program started. As I said earlier, this is a program which is done yearly for the final year students to hand over their positions to their juniors and also hand over all the school properties in their custody to the school.
CHILDREN DANCING
The handover program started with a prayer from one of our teachers. After the teacher finished praying, the DJ played some music for the children to dance for some time. The children were very very happy including all those in kindergarten. The students were dancing happily especially the younger children in kindergarten. They were all happy because this program only happens once in a year.
PLAY TIME
After the dance for sometime, the final year students came and performed a play on the stage. This was a very interesting play which worth watching and spending time on. The play talks about a woman whose child was very sick critically and was saved by God true a pastor.
CHOREOGRAPHY TIME
Choreography dance began. The children danced very well and all the peoples around were cheering them up. All the participants of the choreography performed properly which shows that day trained very well for it. When they finished performing the choreography the main handover program now started. The senior prefect of the school who happens to be the final year student came and thank the entire school for assisting them and also protecting them throughout these past years. You also thanked the teachers in the school for their hard work and for nurturing them all these years. Certificates provided by the school were given to this final year students.
