In order to stay connected with the world, people's main means of communication used to be television, but with the advent of the internet and social networks, this means of communication is becoming increasingly scarce.
I remember that when I was a child I used to watch two television newspapers with my parents, the first of which was about the news from the state where I lived and the second about news from all over the country.
At that time, people trusted the news on television, because journalism was taken seriously. Everything that happened was the absolute truth, newspapers were committed to the truth. To give you an idea, when there was a communication glitch or some news item wasn't true, on the same day or at the next opportune moment, the facts were clarified.
The eyes of practically the entire population were on television programs. These broadcasters made huge profits from advertising and, in a way, influenced people in their consumer and lifestyle decisions.
However, with the evolution of the internet and social networks, the loss of power that these broadcasters had is evident. So, with the loss of revenue and the risk of disappearing from the map, they are now fighting tooth and nail not to lose the rest of the power they have.
The way they do this is by allying themselves with political groups, so that instead of news they now sell political ideologies that favor the politicians who pay their bills.
One example of this was that in the past government of my country, the former president was against the system and against the ideologies propagated by the broadcasters. So, as there was no government money going to these broadcasters, television passed on the image that the ex-president was a monster, prejudiced, a murderer, a forest-burner, among other uncharitable adjectives.
The poorest people and those who still follow the traditional media were constantly infected with this hateful news about the former president. Artists campaigned against the former president, begging him to save the Amazon, which was suffering from fires.
The former president was not a person to mince his words, but he did a good job in office and even with the pandemic he made Brazil one of the first countries to recover financially from the problems caused by the lockdown.
But with all the hate news shared by the traditional media, both on television and on the internet. The ex-president ended up losing the election to an ex-convict, whom the media and the system support.
Currently, the Amazon rainforest, like the whole of Brazil, is in the midst of a wave of fires and no one sees a television artist doing good for the forests and the planet. They have their pockets full of money from the current government and can't speak ill of those who paid them.
It's also clear that the traditional media is giving the lie to the attitudes of the current president. If it had been the previous president, the situation would have been completely different. It's for these and other reasons that I don't follow and don't make a point of watching my country's television programming.
When I want to find out what's going on, I use the internet. Of course, we have to filter all the information, because there is a lot of fake news. But by carefully researching the source of the information and depending on the channels of information, we can have some confidence.

Para esta conectado com o mundo as pessoas tinham como principal meio de comunicação a televisão, mas com o advento da internet e as rede sociais, esse meio de comunicação esta cada dia mais escasso.
Lembro que quando criança assistia junto com os meus pais dois jornais televisivos, o primeiro deles era sobre as notícias do estado em que moro e o segundo sobre noticia de todo país.
Nessa epoca as pessas confiavam nas noticias que passavam na televisão, pois o jornalismo era levado a sério. Tudo que se passava era a verdade absoluta, os jornais tinham um compromisso com a verdade. Para se ter ideia quando havia um ruído de comunicação ou alguma notícia não era verdadeira, no mesmo dia ou no próximo momento oportuno, os fatos eram esclarecidos.
Como os olhos de praticamente toda população estava direcionados aos programas televisivos. Essas emissoras lucravam horrores com propagranda e de certa forma influênciava as pessoas em suas decisões de consumo e estilo de vida.
Porém, com a evolução da internet e as redes sociais fica evidente a perda de poder que essas emissoras tiveram. Então, com a perda de receitas e o risco de sumir do mapa elas agora lutam com unhas e dentes, para não perder o resto do poder que têm.
Então, a forma com que elas fazem isso é se aliando a grupos políticos, e dessa forma, ao invés de notícias agora elas vendem ideologias politicas, que favorecem os politicos que pagam suas contas.
Um exemplo, disso foi que no governo passado de meu país, o ex-presidente era contra o sistema e contra as ideologias propagadas pelas emissoras. Então, como não estava entrando dinheiro do governo para essas emissoras, a televisão passava a imagem que o ex-presidente era um monstro, preconceituoso, assassino, queimador de florestas, dentre outros adjetivos cariosos.
A população mais pobre e as que ainda acompanham a midia tradicional foram constamente infectados com essas noticias de ódio do ex-presidente. Os artista faziam campanham contra o ex-presidente fazendo pedido e suplicas para salvar a Amazônia, que estava sofrendo de queimadas.
O ex-presidente não era uma pessoa que tinha papas nas línguas, mas fez um boa gestão em seu mandato e mesmo com pandemia fez com que o Brasil ficasse entre os primeiros países a se recuperar financeiramente, dos problemas causados pelo lock down.
Mas, com todas as noticias de ódio compartilhadas pela midia tradicional, tanto na televisão, quanto na internet. O ex-presidente acabou perdendo as eleição para um ex-presidiário, que a midia e o sistema apoia.
Atualmente, a Floresta Amazônica como todo o Brasil está em uma onda de queimadas e ninguém ver um artista televisivo fazendo uma corrente do bem em favor das florestas e do planeta. Pois, eles estão com os bolsos cheios de dinheiro do atual governo e não podem falar mal de quem os pagou.
Também é nítido que a midia tradicional passa o plano, pelas atitudes do atual presidente. Caso fosse o anterior, a situação seria completamente diferente. É por esses e outros motivos, que eu não acompanho e não faço questão de assistir a programação televisiva de meu país.
Quando eu quero me informar do que esta acontecendo eu uso a internet, é claro que devemos filtrar toda informação, pois existem muitas fakes news. Mas, pesquisando com cautela a fonte da informação e a depender dos canais de informação podemos ter um pouco de confianças.
