Winter had arrived, the coldest season of the year for the inhabitants of a place called Dunia, which was located at the top of the highest mountain. That day the dense fog drew the skies, the cold wind was blowing through the corners of the forest, only at the foot of that mountain you could contemplate the beautiful sunset. Slowly mixed in the dense fog, the smoke of a flame was present; soon the laughter and joy of Dunia would be recorded in the memories of an innocent girl.
The passing of the flame consumed everything in its path; the tragic story of a little girl named Arlet had just begun. Trying to save her life by running through the grasslands, Arlet's blonde hair could be seen, desperately moving away from the fire, her heart seeming to burst out of her chest.
Poor, tired, poor thing, she reached the edge of a stream that was the water that quenched her thirst and allowed her to find a safe place away from the flames. That day was eternal for little Arlet, between cries sleep overcame her and when she woke up the next morning, right in front of her was that bird, which was also fleeing from the devastation. A beautiful eagle with a broken wing that, looking at the girl, told her with his sharp voice: do not be afraid, everything will be fine, I also lost everything! Just when the girl was trying to tolerate the fear of seeing that bird speak, a fragile crow peeked out from the rubble.
That touching scene, a girl and two birds trying to move forward, the mutual agreement between the little girl and those birds that were wounded, helping each other to get out of the dense forest that was still burning. The crow was the first to try to take flight, reaching as high as he could look at a road in the distance and the huge flames that were going through the mountains, he knew he had to go as far as possible. For Arlet, the kindness of the birds help her to understand that she could not stay in that hiding place. Surely the flames would get there, her way out was to follow the birds. The tranquility of the eagle and his words of motivation for the girl made her forget for a moment the sadness of losing her family, the witticisms of the crow made her smile, that made her walk less complicated. The birds looked at the girl with compassion and tenderness, they were willing to help her find a safe place, they were like angels on her path that encouraged her to continue despite the grief in which she lived.
The night came and the cold was leaving the mountain because of the warmth of the fire. The birds knew that a helpless girl like Arlet could not resist the hard journey any longer, hunger, thirst and tiredness showed on her face. Hunger, thirst and tiredness showed on her little face. That second night the sky was filled with stars and the full moon came out with its splendor, like beautiful lights illuminating the path for the little girl and the birds. The dawn was painted in the skies, the eagle sang a beautiful melody that for Arlet was consolation. The raven said goodbye, he had arrived near a village, and between tears and joy the little girl saw hope.
Jumping with emotion, the eagle took flight and the raven accompanied her. They were all safe away from that devastation, those born from the ashes, survivors of pain.
