Hey guys and welcome to my blog ,I woke up this morning thinking of what I and my siblings would have for breakfast as we were all tired of the normal bread and tea so I decided to make some donuts cause it's been long I made them so I went to the market and got my ingredients and am back ,I'll be sharing my recipes and procedures in making donuts (with cream fillings).
4 cups of multipurpose flour
2 cups of sugar
2 tsp of yeast
250ml of milk(warm)
2 tsp of vanilla flavor
1 ½cup of butter
2 eggs
1 tsp of salt (optional)
CREAMY FILLING
4 eggs(only yolks will be needed)
2 cups of sugar
500ml of liquid milk
1 cup of flour
Corn flour(optional)
firstly I mixed and poured my yeast into a cup of warm water and added sugar and warm milk and left it for 5mins ,this is done so the yeast can activate.
Next I added my eggs and vanilla flavor and stirred for a while
I sieved my flour and mixed it with the batter and kneaded it for 10 minutes to attain a fine dough.
In order to make my dough much more fluffy and soft I added my butter and kneaded a little bit more than I placed it in a bowl and left for 15 minutes for the yeast to act on it .
After a few minutes,I took the dough out of the bowl, rolled it In a circular motion using my palm and placed it on a sheet of paper .
I used a note paper because I didn't have baking papers. While I was rolling the dough, I was also heating up my oil (vegetable oil) to fry the donut.
when the oil was hot enough, carefully drop my dough into the oil and let it fry on medium heat until golden brown. When I fried the first two I was salivating and wanted to eat it at that moment because it was so fluffy and soft.
Within 40 minutes I was done frying ,so it was time to make the fillings
Firstly ,I cracked my eggs and added the yolks to a bowl and poured in my sugar then whisked them till I formed a very smooth paste .
Next I placed my milk on medium heat and let it simmer , I then added my flour and cornflour into my smooth paste and whisked it for a while.
After a few minutes I added the paste into the milk and stirred continuously on low heat until it thickened up.
Then I turned off the heat and added my butter and stirred a little bit more. Some people prefer to use soft bar chocolate instead of the butter, to allow the paste to cool.
Using a piping bag and so I inserted the paste /filling into the donut ,after this I poured a bit of melted chocolate as topping .
