Hello friends of #HiveGarden. I am @elpastor and it is a pleasure to introduce myself and share my experiences in the field of gardening, specifically, with regards to my productive garden, where I will talk to you about my cassava harvest, which is the name given to this tuber in my country, Venezuela.

My productive garden

My garden has an area of approximately 144 square meters, where I have had the opportunity to plant a variety of plants ranging from medicinal plants to legumes. This has helped my family economy a lot, allowing me to generate some savings in relation to the costs of these legumes in the market and in pharmacies.

Growing my own food gives me the advantage of conserving the environment and making more rational use of environmental elements such as soil, water and other elements.

Planting cassava

Cassava is a constant crop, whose plant measures almost 2 meters with abundant branches and its fruit is similar to the banana, except that cassava is underground with roots and a pleasant flavor, which is found in several regions such as America, Africa and Oceania.

Cassava is planted through a piece of its stem, which reaches its size of 2 meters in almost 10 months.

The soil in my garden is very fertile, which has allowed me to plant this tuber and enjoy its delicious fruit with my family.

Whenever I harvest cassava I share the harvest with my neighbors and this allows us to help each other and live in harmony, especially in these times of crisis that our country is experiencing.

Ahh.... Hola, this is excelente! You plant cassava by yourself and then share it with your neighbor which is nice. That is kind of kindness act and any way God bless you !

Thank you, friend. Of course, I planted yuca in my garden and then I share the harvest with my neighbors in an act of love, friendship and kindness.

May God bless your life and your family even more. Happy afternoon.

The cassava looks really big ,and is there any other way you prepare cassava for consumption?

Hello friend. Thank you for your comment. Cassava is a tuber with a rich flavor, which in Venezuela is prepared boiled and used to make what is called torta de casabe, which is an accompaniment to soups and other dishes in the Venezuelan diet, especially in the eastern part of the country.

Happy afternoon.

I'm just learning that cassava is widely known in Venezuela
Over here, we use it to make Garri, tapioca, and so many other things.
We have a few that we boil to eat because some have a bitter taste
Thank you 😊,do have a lovely day
