Hello and welcome to my page. I am @elshammah. This is my entry to the question of the week challenge. Please move on with me as i share my take on the topic which states that "Can Spirituality and Technology Live Together?"
For me i will say everything that exist in life is birthed from the spirit world, so spirituality gave rise to technology as well. Both spirituality and technology are products of our imagination and belief system. Because if we'd never belief in a diety there will be certainly nothing called spirituality and if Michael Faraday never imagined bringing electricity to limelight, there will be nothing like electricity which is a product of technology and many more.
The mode of Spirituality is diverse, some aspect of spirituality agrees with technological advancement while other disagrees with technology because such spirituality thrives better in its natural world 🌎 without the intervention any external support system. Technology is expected to be a tool that promotes spirituality but the more advance the technology of today is growing the less spiritual many are. It is believed that technology has taken over the mindset of the people as time ⏲ that is expected to be devoted to spiritual activities are spent more on computer and android screens or social media.
A part of spirituality and technology is mutually exclusive. Most times, when one becomes addicted to technological mode of living it takes more time that is expected to have been devoted for spirituality. Both spirituality and technology needs advancement but it is believed that the more technological an individual is the lesser the level of his/her spirituality. When there wasn't technology people devoted more of their time to be spiritual and inclined to spiritual exercises and activities, but he moment technology set it, the level of weariness in the heart of most spiritual people grew exponentially. The aspect shows that spirituality and technology cannot live together.
Based on my thought and observations i can say spirituality and technology can both live together only when the misconceptions of technology affecting spirituality is being taken away.
This topic is a type that requires much wisdom to tackle and very thoughtful. Thanks to @ecotrain for bringing up this topic.
