Hi everyone. Weekend greetings to you all.
Like I will always say, it doesn't take anything to get a city destroyed, just get a hold of the young people and you will destroy a city for cheap.
My mum some days ago said to me that I was too outdated to be a living being because I don't know what is happening in society and so today I decided to just have a feel day with myself and read some news online and unfortunately the first headline I saw got me very worried about the future of my nation.
While growing up as a child, I used to hear this common saying "JUSTICE FOR ALL" and it used to make me very excited and see the government as good fellas but maturity has made me discover they were simply massaging my emotions all this while.
I really do not want to go into the full details of this but all I have to say here is that the government have failed in their responsibilities.
Often than none, the seldom reason why young men would engage in acts of violence and robbery is because of illiteracy and unemployment. Survival has become a major issue in recent times because of the increasing rate of criminal activities in the city.
Just yesterday, a particular road leading to one of the major local government seats in Akwa Ibom State was in a serious uproar due to cultism clashes.
Instead of seeking collaboration to increase the number of industries and government parastatals, we are seeking collaboration to contain insecurity. Let the truth be said, a house divided against itself cannot stand. Why continue fighting the situations we created ourselves.
The building of the youths in a nation is what determines the building of the nation.
There's not so much I can do in the current situation, but there is so much I can do in the future. I envision a society free from violence and crime. Let's remember that the young people today will become parents tomorrow and the truth is that good fruit cannot grow from a wild vine tree.
If we can get the young people mentally stable, then we are sure that we have stabilized their future.
In my little way, I think that if I can run an education support program for the few young people around me, I think I would have been able to help in my little way.
The digital economy has come to salvage some situations and it can enable us to invest for tomorrow. I know that kind supports from the good-hearted people here would go a long way in helping me fight for the wonderful future of the young people from this part of the world.
