It's been from worse to worst since the current government took over the helm of affairs in my country Nigeria in 2015.
Things took a bad turn in the area of food prices, insecurity and general standard of living in the past few years. In this post I will be dwelling more on the rising price of food commodities.
Back in 2015, the price of food items were quite affordable when compared to now. For example, A bag of rice cost #8,000 but now it cost about #30,000. A tuber of yam which cost around #150 currently cost #350. A crate which went for #400 currently goes for #2200.

Looking at the examples above, Prices of food items have skyrocketed by as much as over 300 per cent in many parts of Nigeria in the past few years.
Due to the rising prices and lack of commensurate increase in salary, one has been force to seek for another source of income to survive the situations bedeviling our country.
