I'm so excited, writing my first post here on hive. With a whole lot of platforms and communities, I finally found one that suit my interest. Not just any community, but one that allows me share my thoughts, desires, hope and ideas.
Getting to know about and introduced to hive by @onyinye-chi who happens to be my sister, I feel grateful to her for her efforts and to @Kilvnrex who onboarded me on this fantastic platform. I have the feeling this platform holds great opportunities of which I'm eager to explore.
My name is Chukwuemeka Michael Chinedu, from the northern part of Delta state, Nigeria. I am a Tech enthusiast, graphic designer, videographer, and mobile Photographer.
The concept of me obtaining these skills (graphic design, videography, photography and Tech as a field) is as a result of my unending crave for new, innovative and updating knowledge. So if you don't see me doing any of these, it probably isn't me.
Growing up as an introvert was something very interesting because, in most cases of events and opportunities, most people underates this boy and to the surprise of everyone “boom" here he comes with his surprises and whatever he has been cooking from the backend ( Tech language you know… )
I will never forget the event on my primary six (6) graduation ceremony when I the second position Carrier of the class had to debate against the boy always on first position. I can still recall the debate topic “Private schools are better than public schools". Debating against the motion, my opponent was so surprised of how my ideas and points never got countered and got the attention of the judges. To cut the story, I won the debate and the aftermath of that is where the big show is.
With the shame of been defeated in the debate, my opponent went backstage, off his uniform, and began weeping ( I really understood him ) . Did I..?
Anyway that was the last time I ever debated.
My attributes and lifestyle made it difficult for me to blend in with others, their concepts, and vibes. But all that ended when my Tech and skill hunt began in 2019. You can be an introvert in tech but you sure must know how to relate and communicate ideas.
These lifestyle never affected my relationship with family and relatively close friends. I value and hold everyone with high esteem.
Still on how many tech and skill hunt journey began. I began with work at a computer centre (cyber cafe) when I had zero knowledge on how to go about my daily duties . It was a challenging one I had no other choice but to go online for knowledge.
Funny enough I would take jobs from people without the knowledge to deliver and before they return, they get a product and delivery that just keeps them coming again and again.
I got to learn graphic design, Computer basics and was good at my level. At that time I applied for jamb in 2020 and was to study medicine and surgery at the University of medical sciences Ondo, Nigeria. Never had the thought of studying anything relating to Tech. Admissions lists were released and for the first time Information Technology (IT) department was created 2020 in that university. I don't have to tell you the rest. Do I..?
Currently in my final year at the University of medical sciences computing department, over the years I got to be grateful am in this.
I love meeting people and communicating ideas on the other hand I'm shy with people but get used to them over time. I'm a Christian who believes in upholding his belief.
It would be a great opportunity for me to meet people of like minds here and learn from their wealth of knowledgeable. I hope to get through with the process in time.
Thank you for your time, see you on my next post.
