We are in a rush to see results, and see things happen. Yet with the passage of time one begins to realize that there isn't really a timeframe for dreams to be realized. What may be a desire today can very well still be a desire in a couple of years. The timeframe we put to seeing the actualisation of things doesn't really apply in the real sense.
It doesn't mean we shouldn't have a sense of urgency in our actions, or in the push to see our dreams become realities. One thing a sense of urgency does is that it certainly promotes consistency of action and with that we can achieve faster results. Yes dreams don't really die, but the sooner they are realized the faster we can start enjoying them.
Also, they may not die but they do fade away with time and become that much harder to actualise. With the sufficient passage of time many of us may simply give up and decide that such goals are beyond us. This is not helpful, and am speaking from personal experience. Quitting on your dreams is one of the worst actions anyone can take. No matter what stage of accomplishment we stand, when we take actions geared towards our dreams it carries with it an inner sense of satisfaction and drive.
Even if there was a deadline to certain dreams we still shouldn't stop dreaming. We are allowed to edit and modify as we deem fit. After all, the danger lies in non accomplishment rather than the pursuit.
