Ignorance is bliss. I rather not know than have enough information to keep me in a state of constant worry. This sage wisdom is seldom taught, but I guess better experienced. We all have a natural, genuine curiosity to know and figure out the vast secrets of the World. We love to gamble, make predictions about the future and dance with uncertainty. These days I'm rather embracing willful ignorance in quite a number of areas in my life.
Too much information is overrated anyways. It all ends up as one tangled mash of thoughts that fail to streamline for many of us. We end up being trapped in the intellectual abyss inside our own heads. Sure, if it comes together then right way it can be really beautiful too. We always look up to others for solutions and suggestions and those who equip themselves with the right kind of information and can articulate their thoughts hardly hesitate to take advantage of the opportunity on offer to lead.
Yet for those who have just the minimum amount of information they need to perform, there is an amount of peace and surety that comes with it. We're at ease even when we might be wrong on many things. Of course there is the tendency for people to capitalize on the ignorance of others, but for the most parts what we experience is an otherwise enviable state of mind. Must we really know? Is it worth it in the end?
I think for many of us it is probably too late to think about the peace of not knowing. We've crammed ourselves full of sometimes false, sometimes worthless information that is antithetical to our growth. Some of us can't help it, we just have to know.
Been a While Guys.
