The Place Of An Influencer Is Not For Everyone
Each of us has one or more fields which we are passionate about and if we should get the slightest opportunity to be part of them, we would embrace them without hesitation. In the same vein, there are occupations or fields that we don't just find appealing.
Social media influencers play a very vital role in society. They have the ability to either fix the society or to destroy it and like magic, their charms seem to be irresistible. Most of the life young people and even a few elderly people live is a copyright from influencers, people don't love to be called old fashioned or outdated.
I know that most Influencers, do the job for the money, but the real ones know that the place they occupy is full of responsibilities and the way of life of the society rests in their hands.
A lot of people look up to influencers, people believe that influencers know what they are doing, so they can be followed and emulated without doubts.
Unfortunately, we have more unreasonable influencers than good ones. Most of our young people are into all manner of atrocities because they have seen them in the lives of their influencers.
Seriously, being a social media influencer is one job I can't take. They may be very popular, have money and a lot of influence but I can't cope with the responsibilities attached.
Most people don't know that as an influencer, you are more like a preacher, you become responsible for how many people live. Therefore, your life is supposed to be a perfect example because people will begin to see you as a perfect being and sometimes even consider things you say are valid as their final decision.
Forget about the fake life most influencers live and the effort they put in keeping to the trend and pleasing the people. One big thing that is more valuable than money, clothes, hard work, and other material things is a good lifestyle. If you don't have it, for me you are not qualified to be an influencer because you will cause more harm than good to society.
I remember a time one celebrity came up with a trend called "Marlian," in Nigeria, innocent youths suddenly become smokers, dress irresponsibly, cause trouble, and do fraudulent activities like a job. If you don't do the above, you are not qualified to be called a marlian.
Thank God for time, it has now passed away, I believe many of those who were victims regret each time they look back and see the mess they got themselves into just to follow that trend.
If there is anything I dread the most in life, it is misleading people. At least if you are not an influencer, your sphere of influence might be less, you have no product to advertise and no platform to lie or display a kind of life that might affect someone out there negatively.
The load tied around being an influencer is much and to be frank, I have checked myself and have seen that I won't be able to meet up with the standard.
