Greetings everyone! A pleasant day I wish you all. I am the freshest newbie in this space and it's my pleasure to belong this great platform. Thank you for the amazing opportunity to relate and share some experiences and lessons with you all.
I am most elated to introduce myself as Edidiong, daughter of Paul and granddaughter of Esu. Simply put together as Edidiong Paul Esu.
I am of the ibibio tribe in Akwa ibom state, Nigeria, Africa. Edidiong means Blessings. As we all know, names are not only for identification but also a means of declaration to what and how we want our lives to turn out. Which is why I am here being a blessing to myself, family and set to be a blessing to you all and to the world at large.
I am a young woman of color as it is perculiar to Africans and I am super proud and comfortable in my God given skin. I am tall and beautifully crafted by the Almighty God with curves and fats in the right places 😊.
I am a born again Christian who believes in Jesus the Christ who died and gave himself for me.
I am a musicologist, violist, violinist, cellist, singer and hairstylist. Music by the grace of God has been a major tool God has used to impact and bless lives through me. I am the project manager at stringsalive music. A music company which organizes different musical programs for the community, children orphans etc. it runs a quarterly initiative which includes " healing bells" which is an avenue whereby we reach out to the sick at different hospitals offering some sort of music therapy to the patients and also give out some relief materials that we can afford. I am also a music teacher who shares her wealth of knowledge with children of all ages in different schools and colleges. I also teach at stringsalive music during seminar and masterclass sessions. And I must say, teaching children has be challenging yet rewarding because getting to see children who never knew how to play any musical instruments nor sing excelling in their crafts it's always a thing of joy. I included the outreach to the orphanage because I have been one quite early in life. People who have both parents alive can attest to the fact that life isn't all rosy always , talk more of an orphan with no hopes to where and how the next meal is gonna come, music is sure gonna be a soothing balm and giving a head sparkles to the direction of hope.
I am married to Mr John Bernard. An international classical, jazz and contemporary violinist, keyboardist, guitarist, violist, composer, music director and producer. For several years he has contributed to the music ecosystem in Nigeria as a trainer, mentor, and builder of young minds. The multi talented and seasoned musicologist has released official single of his first violin album titled "Alpha and omega". He is the CEO and visioneer of stringsalive music. With the few years of stringsalive music being in existence in Nigeria, he has been able to touch many lives in several ways by organizing free music training, masterclass sessions and talent exhibition programs because of his love for children and humanity.
He has always been concerned with how to bring out the hidden talents embedded in every child to like light. He has trained over 1000 kids and still counting.
Being the first runner up at peak talent hunt in 2009 which took place in Lagos, Nigeria.
He knows exactly how to prepare kids for talent exhibition programs. He is a multi award winner. He was awarded port Harcout best violinist of the year 2018/2019
Received an award of recognition from Talhouse children's club and several others. Nominated for Jazz Gospel artist of the year awards 2019 by Catholic liturgical and Gospel award.
We are happily married and blessed with a princess.
I am grateful for life and the opportunities that unfold daily. I am greatly elated for the fact that there are many communities here where I can share most if not all of my experiences, talents and ideas. Hive is an expressional ground for most people and I'm happy to o belong here and express myself too. Thank you to my colleague who intimated me of this platform and has been my guide on how to navigate around here.
