One of the things that we humans love the most, I know not all of us, are gifts. We imagine them in a little box wrapped with a delicate and beautiful paper, accompanied by a ribbon, with which a beautiful bow is made, which also contrasts with the colors of the paper and is usually red or white, and goes according to the personality and tastes of the person to whom it will be given.
Recently, I was able to go with my family to a rural area, where part of my husband's family lives and to enjoy this wonderful nature is undoubtedly a gift, because we were accompanied by some friends who came from the central part of the country, and who are not used to seeing a river, trees, savannah, animals, mangos (a common fruit in the plains). My impression is that for us it is so common and for them so surprising, that I reflected on the great gift we have. Those gifts, which are not compared to anything, because they have their essence and particularity to bring us great goodness.
Therefore, when I think of gifts, I think of those great wonders that I have around me: people, nature, being able to breathe, having the ability to do something, the ability to learn, in short, the blessings of being able to perceive, in the midst of chaos, the greatness that God gives us.
Definitely, we must be aware that the best gifts are those that we can enjoy daily, without box or ribbon, the best gifts are those that despite having them frequently we can take advantage of them and value them, the best gifts are those that we share and appreciate because they are an essential part of our daily life, to enjoy them is to recognize the greatness of the creator and his love for us.
