I am fully aware I am writing about this on a Friday evening. Given my work schedule, the conventional days of the week are different in my life than most others. That means that my Mondays are not your Mondays. But in this case, I'll write about the actual Monday.
Monday is when I add to my portfolio. Monday is when I add a little in hopes of outpacing inflation. When you see the world in precious metals and BTC, you realize it's silly to stay in fiat. Pensions and 401k won't be there to save you in the long run. Numbers going up doesn't mean value is going up. Oh, Social Security is a scam.
Monday is when I check out how the market is doing. I'm glad I never had the addiction of checking the prices every few minutes. No, I'm not a trader, so I'm not too concerned about the ups and downs. I'll cash out when I have to exchange them for something else. I won't stay in fiat for too long.
Monday is also when I look over financial obligations. Fiat comes in handy when it comes to bills and taxes. Easy come, easy go. Nobody wants to do this on a Friday when the goal is to relax after a week's work. Start the week off by making it about you.
Monday is when I do these things. It's not everyone's favorite day, but I don't let it be the worst. Each week is another chance. Each week is another week where I can see the progress of my choices.
Remember, we are taxed more for working than investing.
