I'm sure you have heard the statement above either once in your lifetime and if you haven't, well, now you are hearing it.
If there is one important message young people should understand early is the message called TIMING.
The battle to 'do' and 'be' has become the reason why many supposed greatness started well but ended poorly.
Few years ago, I read the book, FINISHING STRONG by Steve Farrar. Few weeks ago, while talking to my inner circle, I emphasized on the importance of skill over business – money.
No doubt, many people started well. Many entrepreneurs started well. Many brand owners started well. Many career persons started well but at the entrance of what seems like a breakthrough to them, misbehavior became the order of the day.
No doubt, money is good but when it arrives 'unexpectedly' can lead to a drastic fall.
I have heard cases of people who started way too early, and because they are not prepared for the level of output and exposure that came with that period, lose out on everything at the end of the day.
Few months back, I was talking with some friends about opportunities. Vividly recalling, I did mentioned that opportunity + preparedness = success.
Truth is, no matter how sound you think you are, if certain opportunities come to you unannounced, you'll lose them in split seconds.
And this is no jokes!
Dear young person, the pursuit for money will weary you, more than you can imagine infact!
Like Popa (Apostle Joshua Selman) would say, money is a product. It is bought with something.
For money to come to you, you must have a product that it can be exchanged with. And beyond having a product, have you prepared your mindset for the kind of influence that stage of your life may bring to you?
Now think, what do you know (not have) that can fetch you money?
In this era and time we find ourselves in, you don't necessarily need a shop before you can make sales.
The world have been digitalize and even a stay at home mum can now easily rack in millionaires of naira at her comfort zone.
And talking about the digital world, the basics things that you need to push or start almost any thing now is just a phone, a good network provider and the social media leverage and you're good to go!
And yes, the ability to negotiate and market your services aggressively!
