Proximity between imagination and reality is vast. I'll say the enormity depends on the imagining person and his ability to bridge the gap. The head of an individual is a wonderful place to be. He gets to imagine so many things, such as dreams, faking scenarios, reminiscing past experiences, building castles and lot's more. Often, we get comfortable in our imagination and forget life is not in our head. You hear people talk of the things they want to achieve and don't make any effort towards it. Comfort zone is dangerous and most definitely will rid a person of great things he would have accomplished.
Often I hear people go on and on about their future achievements, beautiful tales that get me intrigued and I'm amazed at the capacity of their mind to imagine something that big. Along the conversation line, they dull my vibe when I get to find out they are currently doing nothing to bring it to reality. They just building those castles and wait for some kind of magic or miracle to sprout from no where and work it for them.
I believe in miracles, also I believe you have to work to get what you desire.
Miracles can come to grace your effort when you've put in hardwork and smart work.
“Hardwork and smart work”
The gap between imagination should be bridged to bring that feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. However they're certain things that hinder our progress. I'll be highlighting some them and ways to overcome.
The first point to bridging imagination and reality I would like to highlight is
•Comfort zone: Comfort zone is a silent eater that eats your time, your potential and leaves you as an empty vessel just like the popular saying “An empty vessels makes the loudest noise”. It leaves you empty to make noise and brag about the life you desire.
You feel hope when you're creating the life you want in your head, by the time you wake up three to five years later or even less you see you've been living in a fantasy. Dare and challenge yourself to go for the things you want. Map out a plan, strategize a method or means convenient for you and work towards it. Which brings me to my next point “Procrastination”
•Procrastination: Do the hard things today so your tomorrow will be easy. My dad always tells me, “opportunity meets the prepared”. Procrastination will delay you till you eventually meet an opportunity that would have been a means to achieving your dream on a platter of gold but you were not ready and it'll pass you by. You didn't do your practice and brace yourself ready to grab any opportunity that presents itself. Continuous postponing will do more damage than good. Kill laziness and work hard toward your dream. Leading to my next point, work hard and smart!
•Work hard and smart: it is not enough to work hard, work smart! Working smart is finding ways to achieve your goals in way that is intelligent, innovative and productive. Working hard is putting in a lot of time, energy and effort to achieving your goals. It involves being dedicated and persistent. When you work smart, you're focused on finding solutions, streamlining processes and leveraging resources to achieve success. The key to success is finding a balance between working hard and working smart. By combining these, you can achieve your goals and increase productivity.
It is not enough to be in your head dreaming of beautiful lives. For something you really want to achieve, make sacrifices. You may have to let go things you love for a greater good. Inconveniences is inevitable but you must sacrifice to get what you want in order to achieve your dream. Make your reality as beautiful as your imagination!
