we were in town the other day for some shopping. my shopping was quickly finished but my wife needed considerably more time. that gave me the opportunity to wander around parts of the town i rarely visit. i passed a cat, more a kitten i suppose, posing nicely in a temple window and stopped for a mini photo session.
the cat was marvellously patient, the natural midday lighting was great with lots of contrast, the window had nice depth with its steel grill in the background catching the sun
the Mauli temple has a series of these fine windows but only one featured a cat. i could hardly imagine a better frame and all i had to do was stop and take the shots
i don't know much about cats but i am fairly sure that this close up reveals that the kitten is not faring particularly well. perhaps it's stray. it was not at all shy but nor did it give any indication of desiring contact with me so i didn't take the initiative, just the photos
