¡Saludos comunidad artística! Me temo que mi post hoy estará algo corto de pasos, la razón es que se han minimizado al solo usar una paleta monocromática.

No recuerdo la última vez que dibujé en escalas monocromáticas, me parece que fue hace años, mis dibujos por cierto eran caricaturas chibi, no recuerdo.

Estuve viendo unas pinturas y unas técnicas que me fliparon y quería intentar recrearlas, al principio tuve mis dudas, sin embargo, tras los avances que he tenido puedo decir que me he sentido más aliviada y cómoda con respecto al sombreado y tonos de piel, en varios momentos no supe qué hacer, pero cerré mis ojos, imaginé estar sombreando con color, pude reírme varias veces porque mis preocupaciones de siempre respecto a la muestra, a la combinación de colores y mis ojos confundiendo los colores, mis inseguridades con respecto a esto, han desaparecido en este diseño.

Viendo los trabajos de @davideazul, cuando dibuja en una sola escala de color y sus trabajos son estupendos, de él me inspiré y me animé a recrear este diseño.

Quise además que fuera una versión de Merlina, es la segunda vez que la dibujo a mi estilo, debido a que tiene esa personalidad lúgubre y quedaría genial en escala de grises.

Sigo con el problema, que no puedo dibujar modo terrorífico, termina siendo cute, traté de darle esa mirada perdida de Merlina, mirando hacia arriba con el mentón y la cara en dirección opuesta, recordé que no parpadea, unos exagerados ojos kawaii podrían ayudarme, sin embargo con esa mirada que logré y esos labios, lo que provoca es pellizcarle los cachetes.

Pero me hizo feliz lo logrado ahora lo comparto con ustedes, mientras detallo mi proceso en el paso a paso.

Greetings artistic community! I'm afraid my post today will be a bit short on steps, the reason is that they have been minimized by only using a monochromatic palette.


I don't remember the last time I drew in monochromatic scales, I think it was years ago, my drawings by the way were chibi caricatures, I don't remember.


I was seeing some paintings and some techniques that flipped me and I wanted to try to recreate them, at first I had my doubts, however, after the progress I have had I can say that I have felt more relieved and comfortable with respect to shading and skin tones, in several moments I did not know what to do, but I closed my eyes, I imagined to be shading with color, I could laugh several times because my usual concerns regarding the sample, the color scheme and my eyes confusing the colors, my insecurities regarding this, have disappeared in this design.


Seeing the works of @davideazul, when he draws in a single color scale and his works are great, I was inspired by him and I was encouraged to recreate this design.


I also wanted it to be a version of Merlina, it's the second time I draw her in my style, because she has that gloomy personality and it would look great in grayscale.


I still have the problem, I can't draw in a terrifying way, it ends up being cute, I tried to give her that lost look of Merlina, looking up with her chin and face in the opposite direction, I remembered that she doesn't blink, some exaggerated kawaii eyes could help me, however with that look I achieved and those lips, what it provokes is to pinch her cheeks.


But it made me happy what I achieved now I share it with you, while I detail my process in the step by step.
