Three days ago I had a flower photo post in which I posted some pink flower blossom photos I took on the go. It was a true blessing to find those flowers still so beautiful, after the snow and the ice we had earlier this month. They say hope dies last, but we have to be realistic as dreaming and refusing to see reality leads nowhere, so I gave up hoping that I can still shoot some nice flower photos, but I was able to find those nice pink flower blossoms anyway.
One of the things I regret this year was not being able to do a photo shoot of this white plum flower blossom, like every year. When the snow and ice happened, there was wind too, so most of the petals were on the ground. Not much was left to photograph.
Today all these plum trees look green, no sign of a single flower, so I had to let my dream go.
This morning I had to go to the craft market to buy a few things and walking the narrow streets I spotted this plum tree, full of flowers. At first I could not believe my eyes because as I said earlier, these trees are all green now, there's no flower left on them, so I thought maybe it's a different tree but as I know the place very well, the chances to be a different tree was zero.
So when I got there knew right away I was given another chance and this is the last one this year, so I took out my phone and started shooting like crazy.
I don't understand how it is possible for these trees to bloom in different times. There's not much distance between them, this was about one km away from the others, so the temperature has been the same for every tree.
Mother nature's mystery I suppose.
This tree is really lucky a contrary to the others, that were blooming during snow, this one has a real chance for pollination, which means it's going to have fruits.
Did I say anything about pollination? I think I did and our fellow Hivean or (Hiver?) was working hard to make that happen. She's working hard day in, day out, just as we do on Hive. Not those who are playing video games every day and dreaming of becoming rich. No, the others, who are really working to make Hive the best.
I took several shots of her, but none of them good enough to upload it. The truth is, I preferred to miss the good shots, than to scare her by going too close to her. They are an essential part of our ecosystem, so we need to protect them at any cost.
I think this was the last chance this year, really the last one, so I need to appreciate it.
What's next? I have no idea. I suppose tulips are blooming now and maybe rose buds. I know a few places, where I can get some shots, let's see. Maybe I'll be back.
