Half An Hour With The Bunnies

in #hive-1949132 years ago

Two days ago I visited my dad's neighbors. I do that every time I'm here and every time I do a photo shoot with the bunnies and rabbits. I love them all as they are lovely creatures, and as you can't find bunnies and rabbits on every corner, I value the photos I take of them.

Dad's neighbor always has bunnies and rabbits, he's renewing his collection each year. He doesn't have a pig this year, so the number of bunnies is higher this year and they occupied the pig's place as well.

I don't know if you have ever tried to shoot bunnies, or not. I mean bunnies, a bunch of them in one place, not just one bunny, or rabbit. As I always say, kids and animals are the hardest thing to photograph as you can't tell them to stay put. I mean you can, but do they ever listen? Nope, never.

The only thing you can do is take as many photos as you can and hope some of them will be half decent. Then delete the rest. So I came home with 132 bunny and rabbit photos 😜. Now come with me to show you the cuties I had the pleasure to meet.

This was the first shot I took and despite of the lack of proper light, I can say it's half decent. If you see the rest of the photos, you're going to agree with me, trust me.

So look at the big black rabbit. That's the latest edition, joined the crowd last week. She's a pure-bred one. If you look carefully, it has a stamp in her ear, a code or something, that most likely is required by law.

The second photo, about these little cute bunnies. The majority of the bunnies are white, with black ear and black nose. It's not easy to see, but I suppose their tail is black as well. You see the one at the bottom, who moved during the photo.

My goal was to take a nice close up photo of either of them. Nice plans but reality in the field does hardly ever match the plans you make at home and it was not any different in this case either. The second I tried to adjust the camera to focus on one of them, they came so close to the camera that the focus became way off. Then when I started to move the camera a bit back from them, they got scared and moved away. Then I had to start all over again.

Some of them have red eyes 😍.

Her ears are cut as she moved, but it's still a half decent photo, compared to some I'm going to show you down below. Look at that white fur.

The smaller ones were so cute, but quite shy as well, so it was hard to capture them. They preferred to stay in the back, behind the others.

Look at this cutie pie. How can you resist such cuteness?

The other cutie pie.

Here's a photo to show you, not everything went smoothly. Sh*t happens.

As you can see, no matter where they turned, all eyes were on me.

And as I said, shit happens.

You never know how they react and over the years, I've seen all kind of reactions, but these were super friendly. I managed to pet a few, even touched one nose, which they don't like, but how can you resist? Their fur is so soft.

Look at this one 😂, curious one for sure.

The guy told me to take one home and he really meant it, and as nice the offer was, I said no. It would be cruelty to raise a bunny in an apartment and would hold me back from a lot of things.

Last, but not least, a big nose for you 😂.

Overall it was a nice experience and I'm looking forward to the next one. I visit them every time I visit my dad as it's a good dose of cuteness I can't miss.

Which is your favorite bunny? I hope you have one.

Wow... The bunny cubs are very cute and cute,it turns out you are happy to also play with some rabbit cubs,I just saw your post about animals this time😁😊

They are all cute, regardless of their size and some of them even friendly, so you can play with them :)

That's right, they look so cute and adorable.
I also like to play with them, but in my place it is very difficult to find them.
Because it is very rare to keep them.

The rabbits are looking so cute. Uf I were there, I would have been scared of them. Hahaha

They are very cute. The black rabbit looks like he is giving you the mean mug. I can imagine it was very hard to catch a good photo with all those little hoppers moving around.

I am assuming these are all for meat? Rabbit does taste good if one is a meat eater. Especially if they are organically raised or from the wild.

The black rabbit looks like he is giving you the mean mug.

You are right. In the heat of the moment, you don't realize it as you, as a photographer are charmed by their cuteness and focus on getting some good shots, but after uploading the photos to the big screen, you can see how suspicious they are.

Indeed, it's a tough job, especially if you're doing it for money or for a commission. They move all the time and there are a bunch in the same place, so no way you can take a decent photo. But, you push the button and do what you can, then select :)

Yes, these are all for meet and breeding. The meat tastes good, if you cook it right. We get one every year :)

I believe you did a good job considering how they scamper around so quickly. It would be aggravating for me to try and take a good photo of them. They all might end up in the cook pot if I was trying to take their picture😄.

What happens if you let them in garden ? :))) is all things cone ?

I think you know what happens:)

I love drama :))) you should try ... you fill get lot good posts more :))

No, thank you, I can post without creating drama for myself.

😁😎 Ok

A lot of bunnies and rabbits but no carrots, haha jk. The little one curled up is just too cute 😍 it's almost like it could fit in the palm of your hand.

There's no carrot in the garden yet, but it's a good reminder to bring some next time. Indeed, some were so small, they could fit in your hand 😀

My goodness, what cute little bunnies. I'm a little scared of the ones with red eyes, but they look soft too, I love their noses. I wonder if they are scared by human contact or are they used to being held. They remind me of the Disney movies ♥

I think it depends. Some of them are scared and would run away but I was able to touch and pet some of these. Other times the owner picked one up and she was kicking like hell. So who knows what's the secret behind their behavior. Most likely if you raise them to get used to being touched, they won't be afraid of humans. But these are not pets, village people don't have time to play with their livestock.

Cute

Yes, they are cute.

u have a lot of rabbits, this is one of my nephew's favorite animals..he has two pairs of little rabbits..they are so cute🐰

These are not mine, but I agree, they are cute.
