Have you been to Bohol Shiphaus?
From sea to summit and everything in between, Bohol is such a marvelous island. Of all the places I've been to in the Philippines, I could say that Bohol holds one of the best memories of my travel, especially during our Bohol trip last November 2021. Until now, I am still longing to visit the island soon. Since I can't still visit it for some reasons and financial stuff, I guess what I could do is reminisce the memories I have created around the area.
During our Bohol trip last year in November, we visited the famous Bohol Shiphaus. It's my first time to be there and I could say that it was fun to witness a lot in that area. Even though we were welcomed by the rainy weather, I could say that it was still fun to be there and experience the place.
When we visited there, we were the only tourists around. Maybe because the weather was gloomy and COVID-19 was still busy roaming all over the world. Since we were the ones who got to explore the area, we can stay there for a long. I also love how the staff welcomed us; they greeted us warmly and treated us nicely. How wonderful it was to feel welcomed; it made us smile.
When we arrived we were assisted by the staff to wear seaman's uniform as well as caps. We then went to the ship's helm to take some pictures. By that moment, I felt like I was on a real ship, only away from the sea. After taking a picture in that section, we then started exploring the area.
The shiphaus consists of 3 floors. The ground floor consists of the souvenir area, bar area, mesh hall, kitchen, and room. The first thing that caught my attention on the ground floor is the ship collections that they have. They have a lot of collections and I was amazed looking at them. Everything around the ground floor was wonderful and I enjoyed every bit of them.
Here are some of the photos I captured around the ground floor:
In the last photo, my friend told me to act sleeping; just being silly. So I did and I look sleeping on the outcome. By the way, I find the mannequin in the dining area quite creepy at first, but it looked great anyway to be there.
This was the room area. I loved the bed so much, but I wasn't able to take a photo of it, as well as the details surrounding it. It was great to be there and the bed was so soft. I even felt sleepy when I get there. The mirror looked unique as well.
Moreover, we went to the second floor after exploring the ground floor. On the second floor, there's still a souvenir section wherein you can buy a fridge magnet, keychains, and a lot more. In there, we can also find the cruise ship crew's cabin. I love how pleasing their cabins were and there was also a lifejacket on the side; the ship feels. The navigation room can be found on the second floor as well.
Finally, on the rooftop, it's where the Titanic was located. You can also take a photo with your friends around the photo booth. They have prepared props and signage that can be used during the photo opportunity. They also give free juice or coffee in their food section. Again, souvenir items are available on the rooftop.
Other details captured and selfies around the shiphaus:
Bohol Shiphaus is one of the best places to visit for sure in Bohol. You will feel like you're on a real ship. I had a great time exploring the area and I would recommend the place to anyone who will visit Bohol; great place and has a hospitable staff. I can't wait to visit it again soon.
