Hello dearest hivers!
Because it is Christmas vacation, the children's classes have ended for the year. I had previously promised them that we would spend their two weeks of vacation at their grandparents' house (my parents' house). When I told them about my plan, they were extremely happy. Every day, they would ask me how many days until we were going there. So it's like a countdown for us. The boys also intend to visit the beach to play in the sand and swim.
The long-awaited day has arrived. I woke them up at five o'clock in the morning. We ate our breakfast, took baths, and began packing our belongings. It's a three-hour bus ride, and it'll be my kids' first and last trip of the year.
My youngest is enjoying the scenery along the way.
Throughout our trip, he kept talking about everything he saw. They would occasionally ask me how long we were going to be in the bus before we arrived. They are extremely excited to see their grandparents and cousins.

The kids were also taken aback by the Christmas decorations we saw as we drove through our town's Poblacion. I wanted to take more photos, but we need to hurry because the sun is starting to burn us.
I was exhausted when we arrived home. Taking the kids on a trip is difficult, but that's okay because they enjoyed the trip and will undoubtedly enjoy their Christmas vacation.
While my mother was preparing lunch, I took a short break. She bought crabs because she knows I love them.
She cooked it in coconut milk with jackfruit.
In the afternoon, we went for a walk along the riverbank, watching another sunset with the kids. We took advantage of the golden hour until the sun completely set behind us.
Our first day is ecstatic; it feels great to be on vacation with the kids.
I can't wait to tell you more about our two-week visit to our hometown.
