Good day, everyone! I'd like to share some memories from our 2022 vacation with you today. To be honest, I have a lot of stories and photos to share; I just don't know where or how to begin. LOL
I was scrolling through my phone's photos, trying to decide which photo and story to share with you first. Photos from my adventures with my son at Hearty Harvest Cafe piqued my interest.
About Hearty Harvest Cafe
Hearty Harvest Cafe is an outdoor cafe in Sibaguan Sagnay, Camarines Sur. They serve coffee and chocolate drinks, as well as a variety of snacks. During the week, the cafe opens at 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and starting at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. On weekends, they open at 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The setting is pleasant and ideal for nature lovers. Why? because it's located in a rural area and not in a big city.
How we get there?
From Sagnay Poblacion, we took a tricycle. The fare was 25 Philippine pesos, or about 0.46 US dollar. Because there were other passengers, it took us about 15 to 20 minutes to get there. There are also motorcycles that offer rides, but they will cost more than the regular fare, which is fine if you don't like waiting.
Our Hearty Experience.
We ordered drinks and snacks as soon as we arrived. It was 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and the sky was overcast. The weather is literally freezing; this is typical for December. I chose hot chocolate for a chocolate waffle, and I absolutely love them! They taste fantastic.
My son noticed the Santa statue as we finished our food and drinks and went there. He was trying to whisper something to Santa while holding his hand. Perhaps he's wishing for something.
We stayed near the statue because he kept asking about the fruit in Santa's basket. Santa's basket was brimming with cacao fruits. The seeds of this cacao are used to make tablea, as we all know (and some may not). Tableas go well with hot chocolate and even champorado, my favorite snack.
It was a heartfelt visit and date with my son. We only stayed for an hour because they were closing at 6 p.m. I couldn't take any more photos. But I will definitely return for another amazing chocolate drink and experience. Who would like to accompany me the next time?
