Good day my fellow hivers, I will like to share my knowledge about the ongoing weekly contest #hl-w14e3 which says " IS EDUCATION A SCAM"
Hell No, I disagree with that, education can never be a scam rather a privilege to so many opportunities
Education is not a gateway to success rather it opens many doors to opportunities. Education is not a scam to me because without education I will never be where I am today.
Though education are not valued in my country(Nigeria), if you are a graduate and you did not have a side work or handwork like barbing salon, fashionista,graphic designer, bricklayer,farmer, carpentry work, etc you are on your own, and to survive will be somehow hard for you.
Like a quote which says "EDUCATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS"
But it is not like that in my country, after acquiring the key you will just realized that the padlock has been changed.
Education are valued in so many countries, which they can never allow their graduate to suffer but here in Nigeria uneducated people earn more than educated people, youth are suffering after graduation, no work, youth are now depending on their parents, uncle or aunt to survive.
Don't get me wrong am not saying education is scam but I am saying our leaders in Nigeria never value education, they don't care about the graduates, they only care about their children and their selfish interest about politics.
If our government really value education, there will not be prolonged ASUU Strike in the country, I guess this month will make it four month they embark on the journey of this so called strike and our government has done nothing about it.
Unlike other countries that education is so paramount to their government and have the love of the citizens at heart. To those countries education can never be a scam and to our country too I believe the better time will come where education will be valued and everyone will enjoy the benefit of education.
Education is never a scam and can never be a scam, it improve your mental ability and your thinking level will increase through education, education gives knowledge and ability to express yourself any time any day.
IT IS BETTER TO HAVE A CERTIFICATE THAT YOU DON'T NEED RATHER THAN TO NEED A CERTIFICATE YOU DON'T HAVE.
