It is another wonderful Sunday to be here, also I wish all my Muslim brethren Happy Salah,
Today I will be combining my fruits to make fruit salad, we know the importance of fruit in our body but most of us neglect this importance and rather go for something big like eating swallow food all the time.
Fruit is a way of eating healthy and eating right, it balances your meals before and after eating, so I will be doing this fruit salad because it has been ages since I did something like this and I think my family needs this. I usually make this as our dinner and everyone has agreed to it.
I have five different fruit that I used for this salad, these are fruits
- Cucumber
- Watermelon
- Apple
- Pineapple
- Grapes
Also, I added groundnut and condensed milk, but I am not a lover of milk so other members added milk to their but my portion is out of theirs, you can choose to use any type of liquid milk for your salad but if you prefer yours like mine then you are good to go. Banana is also part of the fruits that are good for this salad but I was unable to get one.
Firstly I washed all my fruits and rinsed them thoroughly since we are eating them and most of them are exposed to heat because I got them all from the market.
I started with my watermelon, I diced it into cubes, meanwhile, if you are making fruit salad it is advisable to use fruit that can easily be chewable, not strong fruits.
I also peeled off my pineapple and added it to the watermelon, I did the same thing for my apple and cucumbers, I love cucumber so much, so I can never skip it when making fruit salad, I can overlook any other fruits but definitely not cucumber.
Also, my grapes did justice to this salad, I rinsed and used them to decorate my salad before sprinkling the groundnut on top of it, this groundnut will give you a unique flavor when eating the salad.
This is how to prepare your fruit salad at home, it doesn't have any stress at all, is easy to make, and is lovely to enjoy, you can make this as your dinner if you are on a weight loss journey that is why I prefer mine like this without adding the condensed milk because it is to sugar and I do not eat much sugar.
